I just bought the stanley blower, how to use the blower in Singapore?
The stanley blower
600w stel680 2 pin plug, has the text (text is seen between the 2 pins) that wrote: 250V 16A
That 2 pin plug is listed under "Non-Standard or Non-Approved Plugs in Singapore." row 4, at
http://www.dmse.nus.edu.sg/safety/DMSE_Safety_Website/Electrical.htm
"Electrical supply in Singapore is 230V, 50Hz A.C. Most 3-pin electrical socket outlets here have a maximum current limit of 13 amperes (A). Ensure that electrical equipment can be used under these conditions before plugging them into the electrical outlets."
"Travel and universal adapters should NOT be used to accomodate the non-approved/non-standard electrical plugs above especially if they bypass the grounding/earth pin/strip of the original electrical plug and if they do not carry a Safety Approved Mark. Non-approved adaptors carry the risk of insecure/poor electrical contact. More importantly, they do not adjust frequency, voltage, grounding or overcurrent protection to allow safe use of "foreign" equipment with the local wall electrical supply/socket."
