new e-control app , Tasker app, RM Plugin app

Hi all, FYI , the latest e-Control app has some bug with the push messages, after update to latest version no more notifications now, =[

Any of you exploring TASKER app + Broadlink RM PLUGIN app ?

Quite good, got alot of trigger/IFFFT to play around if u r interested. I set that if i put my handphone orientation to 'upside down' in TASKER app, it will call the RM PLUGIN app tasks, which i set as the RF signals... to go turn ON all my house lights..... :s13:

so now i turn over my fone, lights on! another way to turn on the lights in the hse beside voice cmd / app control / remote / manual switch....:D

I'm having amazon echodot , using ihc tv template for voice cmds.

and at the same time, google-assistant via HP, to giv light template cmds to RM pro.

no issue,

I am also using echo dot to voice control ihc tv template. But I am still figuring out how to control my specific buttons on my tc2 switches using voice through echo dot. I tried creating scenes but it doesn't work in echo dot. Have you been successful in doing it?

That is in ihc. I don't see it in e-control app.

Huh? Its in e-control app... Refer to "light switch (broadlink)"... Click on it got 2 version... TC1 and TC2...

Unless u using rm plugin method... Ihc tv template uses learn remote way only, Ur TC2 doesn't have a remote to learn... U can try get a cheap 433mhz remote and pair with ur TC2, afterwards let it learn as tv template in ihc... Den shld be fine

Personally im using livolo rf switch and livolo remote.... In my opinion i tink all 433mhz remote can be paired to 433mhz rf switches... But i didn't try, so is just an opinion.

Tink u can get cheap 433mhz remote in AliExpress or shopee. But 1st of all, best to google around see anybody done it already and confirm that it can work, else will waste money on the remote. (unless u dun mind to do the trial and let us know the outcome here) :look:

I am using IHC, do you have any issue to ask Alexa to turn on just one of the switch of a 2 gang or 3 gang ?

Alexa only have a on/off for the gang, not individual switch. :s22:

Alexa only have a on/off for the gang, not individual switch. :s22:

for every individual switch in the gang... you can pair them to a button on ur remote so after letting IHC tv template learn the respective remote button, it will 'control' the respective switch in the 2 or 3 gang.

if u encounter issue with asking alexa to turn on the paired switch via voice command, even after Alexa says ok... but no light is turned on, i believe there are several factors.

it could be that the learnt remote button is not 'perfect'. (you may re learn to test out)
or the switch is very far from your RM PRO giving the signal ?
or the switch hardware is intermittent ??

for my case, i have no issue turning on nearby RF livolo switches and RF sockets that i used frequently, but my kitchen RF livolo switch sometimes... when asking Alexa via IHC tv template(im assuming you know the IHC tv template trick)...doesnt work. But when I use e-control app (yes, i maintain both IHC & e-Control app) to turn on the kitchen switches via RM pro, no issue.... so could be the IHC tv template learnt signal not strong or watsoever, but i lazy to go debug as the kitchen lights i seldom on via voice cmd actually. :s22:

I have broadlink s2c sensors to turn them on when i'm back home after 6pm.... and off for me if it detected my door is shut after 1130pm.

I am using TC2 switches. when i pair, they asked me if this is 1/2/3 gang for pairing.

Are you saying that i should pair as one gang on my 3gang switch ? Hmm i tried before, i cant pair on my 3 gang when i accidentally pick 1 gang switch leh.

Hi there,

i believe you are refering to TC2 paring to e-control/IHC TC2 template ?
for that i believe you need to set accordingly to 1/2/3gang switches.

and if it is TC2 paring to TC2 template on either of the app, unless u r using RM PLUGIN to Alexa then you can use voice cmds right ?

The pairing i refer to in previous post is from a 'physical 433mhz remote' to the switch button itself.... . this step is only needed if u wanted to use a physical remote to control the switch or link up to Alexa via the IHC 'tv template' method.....

I've been using Alexa with rm plugin for past year.

With the recent ihc global update both IR and RF are working. Over the weekend I've successfully transitioned to ihc, so I no longer need an android phone running rm plugin 24/7 as Alexa bridge. Commands are more responsive.

I use to control IR (aircon, tv, radio) RF (lights, ceiling fans).

Issues.

1. LG TV does not appear as a discovered device. I set it up as a lamp with On/Off.

2. Daikin a/c working in other rooms but not in study. Can turn on but when I ask Alexa turn off, Alexa says okay but does not turn off. I tried to forget device and rediscover, but no solve. Strangely it fixed itself the following day, and is working fine now.

Hi hi, i got the RM pluging..

1. Do i have to paid for the tasker app separately?

2. Does it conflict with IHC? previously i tried RM pluggin. End up my alexa start to read new buttons from RM pluging, ie cannot find my new device/scene from IHC.

my Yoogee light switch issue which i posted weeks back is kind of resolved.
Water vapor has gotten into the unit and corroded the lines.

initially it was just unable to pair. then came 1 night where the lights will not turn on and the touch panels just starts blinking

i enquired with Yoogee in taobao and was told is a "common" problem as its not "water proof" so moisture tends to set inside. Prolong exposure to moisture will cause the switch to malfunction.

i bought a new 3-gang switch and the seller is kind enough to do "water proofing" for me. (by putting some sealant? inside the unit"

hopefully this will be good.

come to think of it i often had home steamboat meals and the switch is right smack in the middle of the dining table.

Hi, these are usually remote cloners for garage door remotes right? Can they pair directly to those 3rd party wall switches like Livolo or Yoogee?

Yes. Cloner means they have additional cloning function, but ultimately, still remotes!

Thanks for your explanation. But I thought a cloned is just learning the frequency and replaying the RF signals? But pairing.. u probably need to understand the protocol to derive the signals? I don't think these 3rd party switches follow certain standards right?

Yes there are various standards, for example certain gates and cars using learning codes etc. But for your standard light switch, the rf 433 mhz is quite generic.

Just try! Only $3...
