Hello @hexanol! Did you use the Broadline e-Control DB dump script to extract the codes from eControl? I realise that there is only 1 set of code when I thought the eControl has a different code for ON and OFF actions?

Some of the remote control i use below https://www.home-assistant.io/components/switch.broadlink/#how-to-obtain-irrf-packets

HOW TO OBTAIN IR/RF PACKETS?
Choose Call Service from the Developer Tools. Choose the service switch.broadlink_learn_command from the list of Available services: and hit CALL SERVICE. Press the button on your remote with in 20 seconds. The packet will be printed as a persistent notification in the States page of the web interface.

For my Samsung TV i use discrete remote control codes because I don't want to scroll through my TV input source.

Usually, if you see 1 button e.g. on/off on your remote, then it's just one IR code.

Thanks! will probably try learning the codes... was hoping to shortcut the process by dumping what I have gathered from eControl

For Alexa I can set 3 broadlink devices and one kasa to turn on with one command. A scene.

How do I set up a scene in Google Home?

Hi S750WP, yes! Of course.

My Alexa can be used to turn on/off below items using IHC tv template via rm pro3, such as..

Livolo RF switches,
RF plugs
Fanco ceiling fan (RF remote control)
RF mechanical Lift (RF remote Control)
TV
StarHub cablebox
Aircon

Hi

How did you make the IHC learn to control the Starhub set top box ? What is the brand of the Starhub box, is it Samsung ?

My IHC app could learn the IR code of the remote control, but the RM just could not control the Starhub Samsung cable box. So I am wondering how did you do it.

Can advise ?

Thanks

i think boradlink recently have an update that now can uses LAMP template for RF singals, meaning u can set it as LAMPS so both ur google-home and alexa can use the same config via IHC app.

Please kindly refer to Paul Hibbert's video, https://youtu.be/Pdjp6ic99S8

You mean the e-control app or ihc app? I am able to add the "lamp" in ihc however, when i tried to learn the on/off button, i physical press the button on my tc2 switches, the rmpro does not learn the rf signal. Tried both rf signal receiving from rmpro with and without antenna options. Inside e-control app does not have the lamp remote option only wireless light, but when i click wireless light the app encountered an error and closes.

I believe your TC2 switch is just a RF receiver... It does not transmit signals.. and therefore your RMPro cannot learn the rf signal. You will need a rf remote that is paired with the switch to transmit the signal.

Inside e-Control app, there should be ready templates for pairing between the TC switches and RM Pro.. that is not freq learning.

Hi, how do you do "scan frequency" in the IHC APP ? I cannot find this function in it.

Using IHC, I get the RM mini to learn the Starhub remote control and it said OK. However, when doing testing, it simply cannot turn it ON / OFF.

What is the steps you had taken ? Or are you using e-Control APP ?

Thanks

Hi

This is what I understand too.

That is why I would like to learn from @shacboi how he/she managed to get RM to control Starhub box using IHC app.

Hope shacboi can shed some light how he/she did it.

Thanks

Maybe it's a different brand set-top box. Mine is the new Samsung.

Anyone installed the Broadlink TC2 switches and realise that the LED light never really goes off despite switching off ? like there is a very faint glow machiam firefly?

I got no such issue when it was a mechanical switch.
only happened for one particular LED light. the rest of my lights ( fitted with Hue bulbs ) ok

Yup I know the broadlink TC switches have a faint blue glow when the switch is off. Helps finding them in the dark.

What I meant the LED light that the Broadlink switch was controlling has residual electrical flow causing a very faint glow. It doesn't seem like it was completely switched off.

Maybe later tonight I try to post a picture

I tot it was supposed to meant like that? The faint light is for you to find the buttons in the dark as it does not have a physical button for you to feel it.
