Tuya embedded devices are coming out very fast. Recently saw that PO Eco and Eco AirX ceiling fans in Singapore are using them as well. They are using embeded Tuya wifi chips but it looks like it isnt flashable with Tasmota.

I saw the demo and while it looks promising, the implementation of Smart Life with IFTTT still has a long way to go. The latency is horrible compared to sonoff on IFTTT.

Hi hi, I just got a broadlink RM pro to control my kdk ceiling fans
But in order to do so , I would need to leave my wall switch for my fan on whole day even when I m out , will that be a problem? And will the electricity bill increase by a lot?

Didn't quite understand the focus of your question though. If you are just purely asking the electricity consumption of your KDK fan on standby mode (with wall switch on), you will need to refer to your product spec. This has no relation with rm pro though. However, if you are contemplating switching on/off a fan via TC2 with rm pro, assuming the standby power consumption of rm pro is 1W(which banggood listed as 0.5W) and you are using Geneco fixed rate plans, the cost of keeping rm pro on for 1 month is around 12c. Whether that is "a lot" , is subjective.

Hi, am I correct to say that if I want to use s2 door sensor to turn on my tc2 lights, I must use IFTTT? What if I want this to happen only when it is night? And is there any lag?

I thought the iHC is equipped with interactions between the sensors and the switches? However, I am not sure if it has sophiscated rules that takes into consideration of time of the day.

Didn't quite understand the focus of your question though. Hi there, yes I'm assuming ur ceiling fan is turn on by the wall switch.

U learn the remote wit rm pro, but in order to use rm Pro to control the fan, yes, ur fan needs to be powered on in this case, the wall switch left in on mode.

Broadlink S2 sensors works with rm Pro... Which in turn can control ur tc2 broadlink switches by their own integration.

U can set timing lik 6pm onwards, if Door open... Turn on so n so rm Pro light. No issue, I'm doing tat right now.

I'm not even referring to IFTTT app in this case. No need IFTTT App here if u hav both earlier mentioned broadlink devices.

I see... Ok.. U might want to factor in the standby power consumption of your KDK fan. If that is considerably higher, it might be worthwhile investing in a smart RF switch to power on/off the fan. Those switches on standby typically draws around 0.1mW of power which is negligible compared to RM Pro, which already draws little current.

Hi guys , anyone can offer any idea why my TC2 3-gang switch in my living room has failed twice. First one lasted 2 weeks until it buzzed and blinked and glass felt hot to touch. Need to switch off mains. I got it replaced but today same thing happened. My other TC2 switches are ok.

My living room TC2 3-gang switch is connected to

Switch 1:ceiling fan (ard 100 W)
Switch 2: 2 plc lights - 52 W total
Switch 3: 3 plc lights - 78 W total

Ok yesterday I went to check out the PO Eco fans and I'm quite impressed by their demo. The wind is not too bad, although not as strong as a KDK at full speed. The fans are responsive, looks good, and best part is very customizable. Quite a fan of the Alba series, would recommend anyone interested in smart fans to go take a look.

When my new house is in end of year, gonna get a bunch.

Problem solved. Turns out contractor needs to disable the two way switch . Previously My switch was a 2 way switch. TC 2 does not work with 2 way switches.

S2 Infrared sensor

Have u guys successfully used the s2 infrared sensor? Is there a best angle/position to put the sensor. I tried to put it near the entrance of my kitchen to turn kitchen light on when I enter but it works only some of the time.

2. Will s2 or s1c hub work with my existing broadlink rm pro and rm mini?

3. Do I have to set my location to China or some **** like some xiaomi devices? I hate doing that.

Of cos bigger number is latest. S2, squarish hub.

Both S1c and S2 will work with broadlink rm Pro and mini.

No location setting, dun tink it ask for location or anything. So guess is just auto connection to China cloud.

Erm, this really need some trial and error.. But do take note once it is triggered, it will 'rest' for lik 5mins before back to standby mode waiting for triggering.

So u can't trigger it, adjust the placement n try trigger it within 2mins,it will not work den.

Thank u for the reply. Do you use the s2 hub yourself? How do you find it?

Also, besides the 2 sensors that come with default package, what other sensors can we use in Singapore? I have a hard time finding official supported documentation from broadlink.
