Guys, my ViViFi line porting failed 3rd time?
Visiting service centre will help?
My best guess is eight captured your pinyin name from ur ic.

The time u waited for answer here might take longer than if you were travel to Ubi and talk to a real person.

Not sure why are you still waiting idly hoping to this would be resolved by itself?

U need to unfxcked the situation

My Vivifi line (1 Vivifi Me & 2 Vivifi Us) porting failed the 1st time due to ID Mismatch.

Registered Eight on 23 Sept.

On 28 Sept, I emailed to Vivifi & they said it's good to go & do a trigger.
After that I emailed to Eight portin email (attached Vivifi replied email) & they did a trigger.

29 Sep Eight resubmitted port in.

4 days later port over successful.

My friend who port in from Singtel took 3.5 days to port over.

Lucky Eight still get my buy 8 get 8 free after all the fiasco 😅

Path of least resistance -- Less effort in asking CSOs here than making the effort to make a trip :ROFLMAO:

maybe praying for devine intervention to miraculously unfck the situation?
afterall, praying was one of the earlier recommended steps

Its saying ID mismatch for no reason, m using same id. No issues when ported from Giga.

you may want to dig deeper into the "ID mismatch" . the system won't report an error without a reason, it's not like it emotional driven and "felt" like rejecting the port-over and assigning a random, unrelated cause. Not knowing the reason, or understanding the mechanics of the port over authentication, is not the same as "for no reason".

here's one example of needing to know the details. i remember reading one telco swapped given and surname in their records, so even though using same ID, it repeatedly showed up as "ID mismatch". I won't speculate on how and why that happened, but that was the reported cause.

There is a thin line between magic and science - paraphrasing from Carl Sagan.

What we do not understand, we ascribe to an omnipotent and omniscient mystical being, including the need to invent that mystical being if there are no appropriate ones in the pantheon - can't remember who said it, but so true at work. Machines don't break down because of some mysterious power.......

now you don’t sound like technician… maybe my mental model of technician is like those old uncles. Maybe you’re the younger generation, more well read version

if you can't convince, confuse and confound :ROFLMAO:
I mean they can’t even comprehend an-easy-to-read FAQ on eight :s13:

asking about the port-in exact time, postal receiving time, and what time it should be triggered. Macam coordinating an air drop with C-130 Hercules. :s13:

my workplace, if no engineer degree, then is called technician ie diploma, ntc etc. not age related. maybe young uncle?

wear and tear is assignable cause, so it's still not due to supernatural/mystical beings :ROFLMAO:

or maybe sky hook aerial pickup by c-130? timing very crucial, thats why they need to know. faster and more accurate than reading FAQ or scrolling up. they think asking repeated basic questions will result in leveling up to genius level :ROFLMAO:

anyway, the basic question askers are back now. I see you guys handle the situation well, very quick to reply to specific demographcs :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
