problem solved. guided by a guy in eight telegram group
i used to hide my caller ID for Simba e-sim line. now duno why it is still in effect when i have terminated it.
anyway, the guy asked me to try Hiding Caller ID (*31#) and unhiding Caller ID (#31#).
It worked!
So it seems eSim is very different from physical Sim, there will be residue that will not be factory reset as the hardware remains even when there is change of operators. Genius everywhere. 😀

It is persistent and follows with the IMEI that settings were set on.

Hmm, what is hide caller ID? Is it not to show the phone number which call you? Isn’t it better to know the number who call you?

Non-Caller ID or Caller Non-ID as ST once called it.

Hide the Caller ID, so when you call out, they can't see your phone number. "Number Unknown" or something to the effect, will show on their phone screen.

Both are indo servers. Could be more accurate if it is Starhub test server.

Thank you so much Tyler. You solved my month-long problem too! 😘
So the culprit was *31# previously enabled for SIMBA!!!
After disabling with #31#, outgoing calls magically works. lol

for eight, its APAC 10gb roaming data, if let's say i used up 10gb today (12 october 2025), but my plan renewal date is on 20 october 2025. I can manually renew my plan immediately today as well to get back the 10gb APAC roaming data to use rite?

If you buy a higher priced plan, it is effective immediately.
If you buy the same level or lower, it will be stacked behind the existing plan, and activates when the existing plan expire.

Today went to R&F again.
No problems with roaming lol.

indeed. i ported to eight for half a month (double eight $8 plan).

my true experience with eight for data roaming in jaybee is quite ok.

the roaming partners:
maxis 4G and 5G (very rarely it has 5G connectivity though).
celcomdig 4G only
u mobile 4G only

so far in terms of coverage and speed: celcomdigi > maxis > u mobile.
