One of the question asked is anout the priority of 5G under Starhub networks.

I tend to think Eight 5G and Starhub Prepaid 5G have the same priority (lowest among Starhub 5G networks), lower than the new Starhub 5G Lite plan and other Starhub 5G Unlimited+ plans.

Eight and giga are said to have the same priority. Not so sure about MyRepublic 5G anb CUniq.

giga 5G, CUniq 5G, Starhub Prepaid 5G and Eight 5G, MyRepublic 5G (??)

Take note redONE has no 5G offerings as of now.

Keep in mind the limit is unlikely to affect true performance, as most are well above what our networks are capable of. The only ones that may present limits in speedtests are GOMO's 1000/150, ZYM's 2000/100 and SIMBA's 204/204, as each network is theoretically capable of higher downloads for GOMO and SIMBA, and higher uploads for ZYM.

would like to ask the latest 8 package eg: 4G 488GB data plan whereby it says SG-MY-ID-TH.

Does it mean if i go overseas eg(MY or TH), the auto-roaming data will utilized the 488GB base plan first ? Only if 488GB used finish then it will switch to utilize the 26GB APAC roaming ?

Issues with being lower priority -- signal is not the problem, backend capacity is the problem. The issue will surface at crowded place at peak hours.

MRT trains may be even worse -- since base stations are limited. You may have both low signal issue and capacity issues.

Not IMO. Whether port in or new line, I've never had to wait over 10 minutes. Mostly almost immediately after payment was completed, one after another emails would flow in, including the one with the QR code.

Checked your Junk and Spam folders?

Not AFAIK. Could be wrong...check the FAQ or with CSO.

Have always been going to get new codes.

Eight FAQ on eSIM -- you have to go to eight service centers to do that as per the FAQ.

1) For those who are interested in Eight Home Internet, it is worth to go with Eight 5G plans.

Not bad for 12 month contract 10Gbps plan at S$23.62. Eight Telecom also provides eero wireless routers at very good pricing in case you need to buy a router.

2) For those who want faster speed during daily usage, it is probably also worth to go with Eight 5G plans. Whether you think it is worth or not, that is subject to individual preferences. Nothing wrong with either staying with 4G or going to 5G.

Already ppl feedback their 5G CMI like their 4G.
Do not waste anymore time & money & energy.
Starhub needs to buck up to invest in their infrastructure instead of throttling their customers !!!!
1. increase capacity
2. increase base station on those blind spot areas.

What did Starhub do to improve the situation ? None !!!

If you look at the test results shared, Eight 5G is still much faster than Eight 4G in general.

But whether the increase in the speed is worth the increase in monthly pricing will depend on your use cases. Typically a mobile phone will be happy with 10 Mbps download speed. Upload speed can be even slower, say at 1Gbps. Latency is also not super important unless it is really too bad, or when you need to use mobile gaming.

But for content creators who upload videos using the mobile phone, upload speed becomes important.

For users who need to use USB/Ethernet tethering for their laptop, then speed may also be important.

For those who want to use SIM Only plan on 4G/5G routers to replace Fibre Internet, then speed becomes much more important. I tend to think Eight 4G is not a good choice for this use case. Eight 5G may be usable but depending on the location.
