Most driving bb cars right? I need good engine oil for my tax as well? Coz most cars below 100k consist of 70-80% tax and Coe..
If use cheap engine oil, will my taxes and coe spoil?

A reputable workshop told me my car better to use 40-weight oil although it is 6 years old ... say use 30-weight will lose torque :o

40 weight oil is the most versatile oil which can be used from a Vezel to a BMW etc. Which is why if they buy in bulk, they have the highest profit margin.

Since more than 10 years ago, a lot of new cars have been recommended to use 0W20/5W20 oil.

A thin oil flows much better at startup , which is where most of the wear and tear happens.

My company have a Odyssey more than 250k mileage , still running on 5W20 oil. This car travel to KL twice a month.

So unless you are experiencing Low oil pressure and high engine oil consumption then you can go to the next heavier weight.
If not, you can actually use the lightest weight oil for better FC.

However if you are running a high performance turbo charged car, you will require a heavier weight due to fuel dilution and a higher HTHS.

On a side note, for those with a engine oil temperature gauge (NOT water temp) , how Long does it take for your car to reach operating temperature(90-100deg) in the morning ? And what is the weight of the engine oil you are using ?

Checked my EO level. It's 1cm above the max line on the dip stick. Is it ok?

Not good bro. The mechanic overfilled. Means more pressure in the engine. Better remove some of that oil if you want to keep the car for long.

Some of these kuku mechanics probably don't know how much to fill. Probably didn't know CS3 only takes 3l of oil.

I got no idea how to draw it out. Guess I need to head to any workshop already. Zzz

Can go back to the same workshop to complain. Try measuring tmr morning again when the engine is cold. If it still exceeds the max line significantly, it is definitely overfilled. But 1 cm is quite abit so im rather sure it is overfilled anyway.

Or you could get a fluid pump on carousell to DIY.

U never check manual how many litres needed for EO? On your ride.
Usually I bring 3L for my ride and will tell mech only fill 3L even I bring those big bottles 5L EO.

Overfill EO don’t play play. Which ws u go?

Means WS getting too popular. Shoddy workmanship. Seriously, it is quite an SOP to check the oil level after refilling by starting the engine for 2 mins, and then checking eo levels again. Didn’t do this means, they just wanted to save time.

You need a pump. Because once the nut is out, all the eo flows out. Not sure how you can partially drain without a pump.
