SG roads can go 250km/hour? If everyone keeps to the speed limit, EVs are mostly faster than ICE. That's a fact.then how you conclude most toys cars are faster than real cars?

if charging is not an issue then go for ev la. ev or ice should be based on your lifestyle.i have landed places to charge la... if assuming charging is not a concern? EV better? I oso worry abt the ICE all the carbon taxes thats why.
fact hahaha. if eveyone keep to speed limit how can ev be faster than ice? got wings?SG roads can go 250km/hour? If everyone keeps to the speed limit, EVs are mostly faster than ICE. That's a fact.
Has it happened to you before? Car too hot can't startYup. I consider this point under EV Technology.
EV technology is still evolving. It will get better. Just not now. I am driving a hybrid now. I did consider changing to EV. I decided otherwise. Those countries the car won't start because too cold. Singapore is the car won't start because the battery is too hot. When driving a hybrid, the general recommendation is avoid parking the car under direct sunlight. Unfortunately my place of work only has open air carpark.
Relatively EV cars have higher torque, instant torque. The acceleration is better than ICE with similar power output.then how you conclude most toys cars are faster than real cars?
Huh cannot start coz too HOT?Yup. I consider this point under EV Technology.

So fast also no use. No tactile feedback. Like buttons without springs.Mis

Plenty of EV with top speed exceeding 250 km/H .
Tesla model 3 Performance, model S plaid, Porsche Taycan ...lotus EV.
You may test drive an EV ( non Cat-A COE) to get a feel of it.
Not yet. Based on past experience, hybrid battery will start to fail around 8 year mark. I am still 6 months away. So I am in the 'danger' zone.Has it happened to you before? Car too hot can't start
of course i know those cars listed. but are those the majority of toy cars on road now? can you list more mainstream ev with at least at top speed of 250km/hMis

Please do. The problem is the test drive route is short, hard to gaugeShould I go test drive Tdy LOL.
Battery is sentive to heat. There is actually a filter (for mine it is below the front passenger seat), if it get clogged up with dust, then the air don't pass through and get caught in the battery area. It can degrade the battery. Every time I service my car, I will ask the workshop to clear the filter.Huh cannot start coz too HOT?
Can you list me an ICE car doing 5 sec 0-200 km/h. Typo error right?of course i know those cars listed. but are those the majority of toy cars on road now? can you list more mainstream ev with at least at top speed of 250km/h
I am already driving a cat b ice.
better acceleration is pointless when i cannot even get at least 200km/h for 5 secs from mainstream evs
but i meant was driving at 200km/h for at least 5 secs. not 0-200Can you list me an ICE car doing 5 sec 0-200 km/h. Typo error right?
Sub 5 sec 0-100 km/h EV , plenty.. those above 350 HP likely getting below 5 seconds.
For ICE car, you pay a premium for fast acceleration. Pointless is your own preference, it does not represent the crowd.
Yah. Facelifted. One of the first owners in Singapore on 1st batch. Doesn't feel like its underpowered. The turbocharger delivers power where power is needed, it doesn't feel like an uphill struggle on my max carry of 3 humans + luggage on eco mode, in fact, engine rev remains comfortable at slightly below 2000rpm.The facelifted model? I am looking at it too. Is it underpowered if full load?
My EV with hot temperature battery power cut protection at 60degC, it reduces power output, it does still run the motor.Battery is sentive to heat. It is very similar to heat management inside a desktop computer. You need to allow cooler air to flow into the computer and exhaust the hot air out. That is how you can cool the computer. Some has complained that their car cannot start during winter time. It is the same principle. Too hot or too cold, the battery will lose it's charge or died.
Personally not a car person, so EV is for me. Acceleration, safety and reliability is all I need.Yah. Facelifted. One of the first owners in Singapore on 1st batch. 100km/h cruise at about slightly under 2000rpm when throttle is engaged. But usually I just do eco mode so i just let go of my gas and let the coasting mode kick in so that engine rev drops to 0.
its a pretty well decked out car, mine's the life plus model since I got it from my SE during the free upgrade period (2nd VW though. My first was the T-Cross. A more fun ride compared to the Tiguan).
Tiguan emphasises alot on safety, so if you are a cheongster, warning beeps on brake alerts due to distance between u and the front car will come on very often.
the autodrive is a boon for that 5secs when you need to hand-off steering wheel for a few seconds (after that, all the warning will kick in liao).
i have tried being utterly distracted when driving. The car kinda sensed it and disabled the huge 15" screen cos i was tapping on it absent mindedly, and of course, warning beep again to "keep my eyes on the road".
yah. Basically whatever b*stard thing you can think of what a cheongster will do, i threw at this car. And the car always have a counter action to slap me back into proper driving.
underrated but necessary features include heater, hand warmer on steering wheel, ventilated seats, heated seats, massage function and kick boot.
quirks include left mirror cannot dip in reverse mode even when it is activated. And random beeps about front assist and side assist unavailable. The former, can't solve. The latter need to bring in for a software upgrade, tell your SE before purchase. I have to send my car in for 2 days cos the beeps got alarmingly bad to the point where service centre cannot manually clear error and its only resolved after software upgrade.
I don’t stay in landed but find very convenient to charge my EV in malls, I never have range anxiety as I‘l charge whenever there are available charging lots available, 10-20% typically for 1-2hrs slow charging, matching the time I’m spending in the malls anyway.EV if staying in landed with own charger
Hybrid / ICE otherwise - Cos you’ll be fighting with other people for public chargers once more and more EVs on the road. And troublesome to keep track of charging and need to move EV when charging completed cos away charging companies will likely start to introduce idle charges (after you’ve finished charging your EV) when public demand for their EV chargers goes up
