Don't know what are the usual tear and wear items on EVs. Maybe they can share with us?
Only changed to better tyres and rims due to the stock one being too slippery.

No other maintenance so far. Car still driving like day 1.

2+ years old.

Nowadays got "mild" hybrid.

My friend say the milege saved quite pathetic, for show only but prices are higher than an ICE variant. Not sure if the battery up lorry how much to replace.

Abit pointless, maybe good to get by 2030 nia.
yes those mild hybrid bs are literally ICE cars with the bare minimum EV tech just to fit into the EV/hybrid market/bracket

Tesla is doing bi weekly car firmware update. you get continuous features improvement.

Can explain why this is a good thing? "continuous features improvement" is a nice way of saying "fixing bugs all the time" issit? To me, this is a bad thing. Updating all the time means buggy as hell. Like Windows. MS got such a bad rep with their continuous "feature" updates, they changed to only 1 feature update a year. And please don't say adding new features. New features = bloatware = more bugs = reduced battery life. I always debloat new Windows laptops becoz of all the crap "features" Windows has.

actually other than ev using motor instead of ICE, the other parts are relatively similar.

Single gear/dual gear gearbox and atf fluids vs conventional ICE gearbox and atf fluids
differential fluids
brake abs module and brake fluids
battery coolant/electric motor coolant vs engine coolant.

It is a misunderstanding that EV needs minimum maintenance. It is like saying toyota needs to maintain once every 5 years and then sell the toyota away.
Ev need replace gearbox oil?

What’s the obsession w conti ah. The price premium rly worth meh
before i started on a baseline VW model, I had exactly the same line of thought as you.

yah i know. VW. ppl treat it as taxi brand in Germany.

but when u look at engineering aspects, tolerances, reliability (yah, some ppl will laugh at it), build and comfort and other aspects, u will realize that conti does deserve its relative premium pricing over Japanese, Chinese and Korean brands.

i mean, sure, contis are "boring" cos u "cannot zhng". but i am not the target audience for zhnging cars even though I know the whats and hows.

i am all for the feel and detail of contis tbh.

EV pollution is concentrated in 1 area and can be manageable whereas ICE is everywhere as long as you drive.

huh.. what you talking sia. Carbon dioxide pollution and emission regardless pooled or done throughout the island is still carbon dioxide produced....

the only way Singapore can really claim to cut carbon emission by going EV is to go nuclear to produce the electricity, if not carbon produce still goes into the atmosphere and become WOKE's crowd wet dream.

Producing one tesla car generates more carbon than a simple toyota upfront lol.
