Overly cautious. Just switch off your switch when you changing light. You keep playing with the breaker at your DB isn't the problem way la. Try your best not to touch your break unless necessary.
the real reason I don't do that is because I get fed up trying to reset the clocks all the time.

Everyone should know basic electricity stuff..... At least know basic things like fuse, 3 colour coded wires, ampere, circuit breaker, types of plugs etc.....

This is not rocket science and super duper easy one leh.... Can save your life one day.

Me surprised that so many in this forum don't even know basic things like what is earth wire for, why water heaters should not use a standard 13A 3pin plug and why need different wire, why aircon plug is different from the usual one.

its the same as don’t listen to everything CNN say. Learn to read alternative nees and make your own decisions.

simple logic and common sense.

but so few people know…

some shop sell subpar wire grade. the last time I fix my water heater, the wire burn

Read HWZ Forum Rules!
Wires burn because they are too thin. Water heater minimum use 2.5mm2 cable. 1.5mm2 will not tolerate 3000W well. Need the correct insulator too. I like to use R07N-F cable for most purposes. Neoprene rubber insulation.

Note that R07N-F is not rated for sustained high temperature operation at max 60/85C. H05GG-F is used up to 110C and is more suitable if the cable is in prolonged contact with heated surfaces. You can probably use R07N-F if you wrap the heat contacting areas with a suitable fiberglass cable protection sleeve.

Maybe for politics? Absolutely listen to whats written in the engineering and electricians handbooks. You need a certain level of know how before you can make your own technical decisions.

A fscker blew up a factory network under my care a few days ago because he thought he knew what he was doing when messing with the VLANs and VTP. Clearly he didn't know enough and got me woken up in the middle of the night.

that sounds sensible.
I can understand the recommendation to go with a 63A breaker. The 3ph inverter won't just pull more than 20A on its own. It's not designed to do so. Like plugging in a tiny usb charger into the socket.. it draws only milli amps, it won't start pulling 13A just because it is plugged into a 13A socket.
Under normal circumstances I suppose. Overcurrent protection however is for abnormal operation scenarios.

Then again the purpose of the breaker is to protect the wiring, less so the equipment which probably has appropriately sized internal fuses.

Just need to take note to test and change our faulty rccb will save your life if there’s any faulty circuit causing leakage

Don't need to off the ** to change light la. Just off the switch, your incoming supply stops at the switch.
Make sure it is the wall switch if it is a table lamp.
I've seen single pole lamp switches wired across the neutral, and lamp wires with 2 pin instead of 3 pin plugs, making neutral-live inversion a thing.

Inverted neutral live and/or a badly wired lamp switch can mean that the bulb contacts are still live even if the lamp switch is off - or that the outer "screw" holder is live instead of neutral.

Thanks for the advice. Buy I'll stick to switching it off as far as possible.
Cos of the double switch being confusing .
I just checked... if both switches are off... the light is ON.
They must be one off and one on.

I hate double switch wiring with a vengeance. They are confusing to wire. Many times the cables aren't even labelled by the sparky.

Be smart. Put in neutral and use smart switches.

I don't think this was taught in my physics class.

have lah, moi saw the sibblings lower secondary textbooks have these switches and plugs in the 80s. Moi sibblings can change home plugs and switches and do wiring when they still in secondary school. no bluff U one.

Even if you well intentioned
