Can the finevu cr-300hd able to fit on new C180k without viod the warranty?
Understand that the camera need to tap the voltage from the battery..but mercedes very particular on this..so no attempt on the battery

you'll need to check with C & C for this... worst case is to plug it to the car cigarette lighter plug like what i did as SM Motor don't want to do it for me even I'm willing to pay.

one more thing, better to check with the respective user community whether installation of such devices will cause problems to the car

for eg, bmw have this issue that it does not totally disconnect power whenever the engine is off which will result in continuous draining of battery. so the advice given was to install the camera onto the same connection as the IU.

His responses are more prompt if you sms/whatsapp him directly. ;)

Just bought got FineVu from Xavier, went to his recommended workshop to install at $30 to tap power direct.

Anyway I didn't state to the installer that I don't want it to have constant power supply even when engine is switched off, I should have told them to connect to ignition instead.

Anyway will go back there for minor rework cos I didn't want to modify my cigarette power socket and have to use an adapter, it costs $15 and pending parts to arrive.

Asking bro Dragon, do you tap your FineVu to be in continuous power supply even when engine is off? So far did you encounter battery flat probs?

Yup I tap it to the car for continuous power supply. I'll disconnect the power plug from the cam when I park at office or home which is relatively safe. Other public places I'll leave it powered on parking mode.

The cam has auto power cut off feature if power reaches a certain threshold (check manual for exact cutoff voltage). So far never encounter battery flat issue.

Hope this helps. :)

Shouldn't be a problem. Your IU is also tap to the battery. :)

Its possible to connect to ignition instead ? :s11:

If can , i wanna change it . My carpark quite safe at night so continuous power supply is pointless imo .
