Text a bit to chat and know some basic info the person is fine. But don't need text like forever and just stay keyboard warrior. I find it lame af. A chat more than 1 wk that don't convert to meetup or some tangible plans is waste of time. To me.

Dating/meeting new people is similar to sales, number games. The more you social the better you get and you also know how to filter better. No harm meeting more people. Some people might end up friends, some might end up be an useful session/experience to know things you won't have chance to be exposed within your circles. Dk why bbfa always so fearful meeting people. There is no loss in learning new things.

Randomly watch singles inferno dating show and they are actively making themselves known/seen by the opposite sex, going to paradise with people they are curious about.

Last time, I always want to have longer get-to-know each other periods and goody feely before i meet up in person.

To prevent wasting time, do you chat up and build foundational friendship first or just meet in person and figure?
Without good feeling in chat, the first meet will be like a making friend session or first date?
All d scenarios work. Depends on both persons mentality to tis matter.

Some like it fast some slow. Some thinks Oni meet in real life then can judge n matters.

Some is must chat for awhile get to know each other. Can chat n get along n how is d feel b4 they will consider meeting.

So depends ya.

But... but...
His post reveals a problem.
So is friendship or love more virtuous and beneficial? If friendship is better, then what is wrong with love? Is it more exploitative and destructive? Is love and seks more predatory or unsustainable?
I would say a friendship that is pure shouldn't involve romantic attraction or lusts of any sort. Love is implied as something less conditional than friendship and with it, requires more commitment and effort to maintain. I personally don't believe in staying as friends if the date or relationship don't work out because its super likely your future partner wouldn't be happy that you are friends with someone you are attracted or dated before. So knowing how it would end, i don't see any benefit in investing time/effort in the friendship. Anyway, most people aren't sincere about staying as friends, it's just to make themselves feel better for rejecting you.

True i guess, even the word Friend is hard to define. Everything is too dam qualitative and subjective. That's why AI is best.

Please elaborate. You think you can come here with so many bbfa and hang our 胃口 and leave? :frown:
Let's just say she's a gnd, looks department 3/10 based on edmw bbfa superior standards, soft-spoken, accommodative and dreamy. My gut instinct told me an alpha type of guy was more suitable for her. She doesn't had much of her own opinions and needed to be led. I paid for all transports, meals, drinks, etc... and ensured she reached home safe caused already past 12am. We still kept in contacts after that and eventually, she was married to someone about a year later 💒 Not too sure how they met each other

Tips for you:

~ Dates should be fun. And be mindful not to turn them into interview sessions

~ Be unpredictable at times. Surprises are always welcome. Tap on the creativity in you

~ It's ok to spend as long within your means. You can't really get girls if you think they're only after your money and I know you aren't like that. Leaving a bad impression should be the last thing on your mind. Use your judgement well ya and keep trying, no risk no gain

Good luck! 😁

I think same for women leh.

Traditionally women used to get very obvious attention from men, like love letters and flowers. And then women would reject or reciprocate.

Now cos the rejection rate is so high, many men have subconsciously decided that women should make the first move so men won't get rejected or arrested.

If I was younger and woman makes first move I will definitely jiak. Now older liao I more careful of what I jiak. Heheh.

I predict overall success rate would improve if women initiated. That's just for seks of cos. Long term love and marriage is another thing. But no seks means no hope.
the love letters are so good in secondary school, even now i think its rare but still useful.

I met a guy once, whom i know for a long time but never really chat much, decided to meet one day. when we meet he is so introverted and kept quiet, worse still kept texting for his next appt planning. i felt like i regretted going out to meet cause on text it wasnt well already, in person worse... I could have slept in on a weekend.

Dating sucks. Far better to live life without dating until u meet someone really interesting and compatible, like a great friend. Systematic and regular dating is a cost not a benefit.

It sucks, did he treat you the meal? If yes at least you earn a meal not saying is much or what but better than nothing. If dutch, ya you wasted eating a meal with someone not worth and your precious rest time LOL

Well, dating regularly will prepare you when the right person turns up. Like anything in this world, you need practice to get it right. Imagine the pity if you finally meet someone you like but you fumbled during the date and lost the opportunity.
