Recently its getting worse. Just stand 9 hours at work and whole shoulder became stiff after work every day.

how to get better?
Need to reverse the strain by lie down, lift weights above till the muscles push down.It painful initially, but the muscles, push to original position.Do every day, slowly.Take painkillers to masks it.

2021, i got stiff shoulder on the left. Went for acupuncture but still go and buy heavy groceries, carry 6kg of detergent on the same day.

next morning, cannot lift up my left arm. when i stand up, my arm will feel very painful and heavy when i lift up my arm. Can only lie down and wait for ambulance to come. Went to khoo teck phua, half a day and they let me go home already.

ownself went to ttsh 🫤 the pain was unbearable feel like whole arm’s blood circulation not moving, i thought i was going to rip. Took panadol also no use

next day they gave me another painkiller. Did mri and xray, doc said the nerve on my neck damaged. Been taking painkiller for almost a year. Doc said don’t carry anything more than 2kg. Shoulder and arm feel better but dunno why my thumb is still numb

One year later, Lower stomach cramp and very painful. Dunno what happened. Doc only said slightly fatty liver

i suspect its the long term of taking painkillers so i stopped taking it in 2022

2025 my job duty changed and requires me to push heavy trolley. Previously no need to push trolley. My old problem came back. My neck got this sharp pain again. I quit my job. Currently doing part time job as promoter. No need to carry heavy things but have stand for 9 hours. Got stiff shoulder and can’t lift up arm on my right side 😔after work. Almost every day like that

Look for another job, if you can.

Diet and exercise are important. But, 病從淺中醫. You do not want to exacerbate any serious but unseen medical conditions.

I supposed you have not seen doctor for your recent problem. Do go see one soon.

Can share the clinic address, how much does it cost? I believe it’s called blood cupping.
Just look for any reputable TCM chain and look for Doc specialized in sports injury.

For me, I look for Peace TCM. Got a few outlet. Take note not all TCM Doc know how to do. Some TCM Doc anyhow 1. I always look for Doc Yao Yanna. You can check her timetable on their website for availability.

See what the physiotherapist say first next week. Try to tell him/her specifically what and where are your current problem areas and under what scenarios/movements.

Good luck.

Any x-ray on your spine? Scoliosis (curvature of spine) can compress the nerves thus affect our limbs.

Anybody’s physiotherapist uses electrotherapy i.e. TENS unit to treat? Is it effective?
got, even got dry needling, several sessions. didn't move the needle much until went to tcm with acupuncture and tuina, plus ba guan or zhou guan.

actually if go see doctor, the first treatment is also ask you go physio first, they won't straight jump to shoulder replacement surgery all these first.

seeking experts advice in here too

Since a month ago, I've been experiencing right shoulder pain (3-5/10) only when I lift/rotate my arm at certain angles. Or when holding something of weight while my arm is lifted, like feeling some kind of muscle strain on shoulder / deltoid muscle (but unsure if it's correct part).

Carrying stuffs while arm is straighten down is fine, press press massaging also don't feel much pain.
No movement restriction but just the stinging straining pain

Strangely, I doubt it's from any injury/strain though. Anyone can agar suggest what it might be, or any TCM/medical advice to seek? :o

Frozen shoulder doesn't happen just at the end of the day...

You will lose nearly total range of motion and have severe pain in your rotator cuff for 4-5 months.

I've had it. 😢
Went hospital. X ray then doc said go therapy. Went twice but didn't seem to work.

Decided to try acupuncture. The pain was relieved after 1 session. Around the 3rd day, I can rotate my arms 360 degrees without any pain. Acupuncture is magic

mine came suddenly overnight too and been 1mth+
no movement restriction except for the stretch tingling pain while doing so

got a feeling that GP will just prescribe painkiller/cream etc for such symptom :s22:

currently im just using yokoyoko gold to numb/massage it off and trying to let it rest & heal hopefully

For my frozen shoulder, the specialist didn't bother to treat because first 4-5 months there's nothing much to be done. I did x-ray and MRI for my shoulder but he only schedule physiotherapist session when my pain starts to subside around the 5 months mark.

I only had 2 physiotherapy sessions one month apart. I didn't do any stick, rubber band or constant movement. I only did dumbbell exercises 3x a week with slowly increasing reps and stretching everyday every 2hrs apart. After 1 month, the physiotherapist was quite surprised at my recovery and said no need to return and just continue my exercises. After second to third month, nearly recovered full range of motion. I did lose a bit of range reaching my arm behind my back and there will always be a stiff pain when I deadhang on a bar, but still possible to do pullups.

This from my experience as a 50yo with 2 decades worth of sedentary lifestyle. Just have to wait out the pain then work hard on recovery, focusing on strength training and stretching. Upside is I adopted a 2x per week weight training lifestyle after my recovery from an initial goal of strengthening my shoulders to generally building a stronger body.

If you want to confirm whether it's frozen shoulder, have your arms by your side straight down then bend your elbows to 90 degrees towards the front, then rotate your forearms outwards horizontally to your sides. If frozen shoulder will be very painful and your range of motion to do this rotation will be severely limited.
