If a $50 loss on $800 investment is “massive” to you on your first DCA, then I think you better don’t invest anything. Safer putting it in the bank.

Anybody know the steps to link cdp to this platform then sell it off?

Currently buying from vickers , $10 commissions charged.

Sell is $25.. so to me can save $15, can eat one gd meal

Also what platform do y’all find the least cost for Us trading?
I am looking at scb, FSMone, dbs vickers, IB.
So far I find scb and dbs isn’t very attractive

$50 is nothing..

my STI are 3.33 each.. so you can imagine i'm like 10% in loss.
chill, its only paper loss.

ETF are for long term investing, so just buy and forget

actually can i check with you, would it be wise to do a 90:10 ratio for IWDA and EIMI? Assuming I have $9000 vested into IWDA, does it make sense to pour $1000 into EIMI? seems like that would be a very expensive since the minimum fee is 10USD already.

Thanks a lot for the insight. Btw I don’t invest often as I am still a student and in the future I Guess lot of time is spent on work. I think scb or Fsmone, Ameritrade might be more suitable for me

If you really want to track the ACWI, then the split makes the most sense.

But you have to decide for yourself whether by tracking this strictly with your $9k and $1k split makes the most economical sense.

Would the return more than outweigh the cost of such exposure?

Will consider! However, I would like to ask for advise on when to sell an ETF? I am on DCA for es3 and cfa and have incurred quite massive losses in my first month for es3. Lost like $50 so far...

In any case, going to nibble ar ES3 with a goal to average down to 2.7/shr
Keep in bank not much use now, might as well.
See how chui ES3 can become also a bit scary if go to 2.38

Why do you need to top up money to sell?

Beware the sell function only allows you sell at limit order. There is no FOK or anything clever so if you are selling illiquid stock you might want to consider selling at the bid price.
