Nope, feels the same as before

Then it is not the fan mah, I encountered Fan problem before and the laptop get heats up easily. Real easily and it is like frying egg.

Are you sure is the CPU area or the hard disk area that is making the noise?

Ok thanks anyway. Should I upgrade my E8210 to an E8410? My main focus is on the graphics card.. So effectively my question is X1400 (>/=/<) 8400M?

Meddling around with laptop for Graphics Power, have you consider yourself a desktop?

Logically, I think that the 8400M is good, but do note that there will also be limitation as this is meant for mobility component.

Yeah, but the games I play aren't that heavy on the graphics (CS, HL2, MMOs, might want to try ProStreet). Also I need it for school, so yeah laptop (got it from school[poly] roadshow, might be one coming next year, when sec 4 batch enters).

Normally, in my personal opinion, grab one from the Fujitsu Roadshow instead. The specs is much better at times.

Hi all,

I recently boought a T4220 8flags - the shop in NTU. I opt to downgrade to Windows XP Pro. However, after I have downgraded, I could not use the tablet functions and stylus pen anymore. I later realised the I may need the Windows XP Pro Tablet Edition. Yet 8flags claim that Win XP Pro alone can support and my problem is probably a drivers issue and asked me to bring it down for them.

I need some opinions on this issue. Thanks a lot.

nowadays alot of ppl downgrade from vista to XP, just a simple explaination .... only vista business and ultimate support tablet feature, your computer will still work normally even if you do not have tablet feature, if you downgrade to XP, take note of the difference of tablet edition and pro edition, there will be some things like window journal not inside ...

you can take a recovery CD from service center in henderson road, XP tablet edition

hey I also just bought the same laptop from NTU recently.
I didnt want to downgrade to XP...so will keep Vista as that. But I have a problem installing my Singnet modem to the laptop. I use Lan ethernet to be specific. So I dont understand how I can set a new connection using Vista! My model's a Speedtouch 536 v6. I have been using this for abt 6 mths now. and it couldnt read my Smartfix CD!...I deduce that as it has a message which says something in the system is not working to install the CD.

Can someone provide any explanation to this?...cos I suspect that it not Vista compatible. Im not sure is it. Dunno is it a Fujitsu problem, or a SingNet problem!

I believe the driver is not vista compatible, I search around the web but did not came across any vista driver for it, you might need to check with the singtel or even speedtouch to confirm if they 536 v6 is vista compatible anot, by this time I think they should have driver for vista already, ask for them, I know CD that come with modem is for XP only

Also is it alright to remove the NTU network connections as they have installed in the pc?

it is up to you already, the network connection is to let the computer auto map for you when you are in your school network, if you don't want them just remove them, I will just keep them ... since closing them is just 1 click away :D

Another doubt, it's fine not to use OmniPass right?...I was trying to sign in for it for the first time but I dont know the password of it which is required at one point. I was keying in a password of mine for the first time and its not valid! So is there a fixed password that is required to be keyed in instead? Can someone guide me on that too? I dont get that password thing!

ok make sure you have not use onmipass to lock any file, if you have unlock them 1st.

to reset the whole thing is simple, back to square, uninstall the whole onmipass program, and than reinstall again, make sure you know where to download them, IF you did not use back the old pass key when you reinstall, than the onmipass need you to keyin a password when you first sign in, remember this pw this time don't forget again :D

Buy from Fujitsu Resellers such as Portable World, Digital Asia, Newstead and you will not go wrong.

ok thanks for the reply, but will buying RAMs from them be expensive? saw the price from branded shops like fujitsu selling $100+ for a 1gb RAM thats like overkill, wonder why is it so expensive.

nope it will not void the warranty even if you buy from retailer, but the warranty will not be cover by fujitsu for the ram that you purchase, that is the same as HDD.
