Make sure u check for dead pixel hor, my fren check thru 3 sets before she found one without dead pixel.

my fren din buy the MS office. Not too sure which link u r referring to, but i guess it is the webshop thing rite? http://www.nus.edu.sg/comcen/main/getsoft.htm <-- this one? If I am not wrong, software downloaded from there are only useable within the school intranet, at least that is the case for Matlab. Won't work if you are using from home.

MS Office download is limited to staff only I think. I juz got it for free through my fren who's working there.

so u mean the download there is the full version and not some restricted version useable only within the sch intranet? I know the matlab there is only useable when u log in to the school intranet, damn stupid one....cannot use at home...

i tried speedfan / notebook hardware control and quite a number of softwares, but somehow unable to detect. or is there no hardware sensor in the first place?

are you a nus student or wat. if yes I think u can retreive back @ the notebook centre but I think there is some charges.

oh i called the service centre at taka, the guy say ok, cos i suppose 7020 is a bit new hence by this time it's 1 yr guaranteed is not yet over..

Hi Fujitsu 01,

I been using S7020 since August, i notice a few problems:

1. It gets damn hot near the touch pad area - sometimes the fingerprint sensor gets really hot and it stops working, can't scroll can't do anything. Weird thing is it does not happen all the time hardware problem?

2. Screen flickers when running on battery. I also guessed a driver problem, any upcoming updates?

3.Battery lasts for 3hrs with minimal application running....why?

4. Audio jack does not detect a ear phone plug in unless i have the Realtek sound manger running, i dun like to keep it running, can it jus plug in and detect?

5. touch panel doesn't work if the process quicktouch.exe is run b4 FUJ02E3 (jus for information for those who disable the process and wants to run it again)

My screen also flicker once in a while. I had check and the version of the driver is already the latest version that was available on the web. Does anyone have encounter this and have any solution for it? Hope someone here can advise me. Thanks!

Hard Disk Model

What is the model of Hard disk used in S7020?
I bought this notebook last yr and have had the HD changed once due to some problems.
The current one Im using runs much hotter than the previous one and I've checked that the RPM of this HD is not 5400.
And I strongly suspect that the current one was not a barnd new one before being installed in my lappy.
Pls help

I am having some problem with my S7020. What happened 3 days ago was that it stopped charging and taking in AC power. So basically when my battery died I could not use it at all.
I check and found that it was not my AC adaptor as it could charge other Fujits.

So I sent it in 2 days ago and today I went to collect it. All seemed fine and it could charge normally. However, when I checked the system profile, I was stunned to find out that the CPU speed indicator had suddenly decreased to 1.73GHz (the 740 Sonoma chip). I paid for a 1.86GHz (750) and all along it had been 1.86. So now the engineers are having to take another look at it. Apparently they have to escalate the case to senior engineers and its going to take like 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!!!

Anyways it's really damn suay la. The last time I sent in my powermac G5 for some heat sensor problem, it came back showing that it was a single processor when it was actually a dual processor! They had to replace the whole logic board and 1 chip before it was fixed.

Anyone here had problems like this before? I really need my laptop man!

make sure u check the settings from volume control and the 3rd party software that come with fujitsu is adjust correctly and also make sure ur mic is working in other pc and plug correctly.
