Hi ppl,

I have bought this T4220 last year and the battery can last for 3+ hrs after full charge. Usually i would plug in the AC adaptor and took out hte battery unless i'm going out.. but recently, i realise that the battery can no longer substain for more than 20 mins from a full charge.. anyone encounter this?

So most of the times are you using the battery or just purely power source?

By right, from my experience, if you use the battery till it is 10 - 20% low, then you take out to use with AC Power directly then it will save the battery lifetime. :)

You can always try going to the service center to lodge a service on the battery, depends on them to get it exchanged. Tell them this is a frequent case.

Dude, you are mistaken and i dunno how you got this info from where? Beside SLS 5th floor got foodcourt or u mean funan? In order to get a XP Pro recovery disc, your initial OS must be vista business and drivers need to be download from thier website. For fujitsu user, kindly go to AsiaPac Distributor Pte Ltd there to get 1. There is the only place u can get for your fujitsu vista business lappy

yo guys...tried to find some info on getting the win xp recovery disk for the s6520, but cant find the exact info i required. anyway, i will like to check wat r the required items to bring down to the distro to get the win xp recovery disk. ;)

but will the allocation of RAM usage to programs vary between 3GB and 4GB?

e.g.

4GB RAM - effective memory available is 3-3.25GB
3GB RAM - effective memory available still 3GB or slightly lower?

For your 4GB question, it's correct. I know of a XP machine that reads 3.5GB in System Properties. Best to go into Task Manager to see the actual amount.

For 3GB RAM, effective memory is available fully (3GB), minus whatever turbocache/turbomemory/shared video memory that's used by onboard or semi discrete video adapters.

Blackbear, you're right.

Notebook Battery Guidelines
• Heat is your battery’s worst enemy. Avoid keeping your battery in hot places such as your car during the daytime.
• A full discharge puts more strain on your battery than several partial discharges. You do not need to worry about battery memory with Li-Ion batteries. Get into the habit of recharging the battery when it reaches 10-20%.
• Never discharge your battery to 0% – as this can render your battery useless.
• Calibrate your battery’s fuel gauge by doing a full discharge every 30 cycles. Run the battery to the cut-off point in your notebook to keep the battery’s fuel gauge accurate.
• If you will be on AC power for an extended period of time, you can prolong your battery’s lifespan by removing it and putting it into prolonged storage.
• Prolonged storage should be done with a 40% charge-level and in a cool, dry place. Some experts recommend you place the battery in your refrigerator. Use a sealed plastic bag to keep moisture out if you do this.
• Do not freeze your battery.
• Allow a stored battery to warm to room temperature completely before using or recharging it.

I always recharge my battery when it reaches 15~30minutes.
And when I recharge my Laptop is shut down, until it is fully charged, then I use again when I need to.
No problem hor?

Sound like your laptop is having software issues. You question and problem are very general I can only see software errors.

He hide his taskbar by sticking the paper over the bottom of the Monitor and protruding up a bit by 1cm. :look:
