Galaxy Note 3 4.4.2 Kit Kat update

I bought my phone last week from Singtel and have not received the KitKat update as well. My CSC code is OLB. Has anyone with OLB CSC received the update yet?

My note 3 from Singtel, csc SIN, also no update.

From the issues encountered by those already did 4.4.2, i bet Singtel don't dare to release.

Anyone encountered problems using USB 3.0 to transfer files in pc?

Before the KitKat Update, no problem with the transfer of files.... after that update, completely hangs when deleting/transfering files in pc...=(

5ghz WifI Issue

I have this issue in JB4.3 already. Keep telling me my wifi is weak.

I found out that my Note 3 wifi chip dun seems to like 5GHz Control Channel of 149, 153, 157, 161 and Auto. Once I changed my Asus Router's 5GHz Control Channel to either one of 36, 40, 44 or 48 then my issue when away.

On S4, it was ok. Very strange....

I think i found the underlying issue with the 5ghz WIFI issue on note 3, the cause of this problem is 'internet connectivity' - period.

The phone checks (once per connection attempt) that it can connect to some remote host, if it can it allows the WiFi connection to stay up. If it can't, it throws up the 'internet is slow' message and refuses to connect.

Have to disable this two option in advance Wifi settings, i have not tried yet though :

Good investigation n thanks for sharing this with everyone in the forum. I already have the two option disabled since JB 4.3. I even unchecked Network Notification.

If you have not updated, please consider holding on.

External SD access is restricted. I have some apps that won't work as they need access to external SD e.g. Sygic.

Like almost all aps cant access it - WDF

Edit - ok stock apps seem to be able to write to it

Wonder when 3rd party apps are denied the right

I tried to enable multiple widget for my friend, his note 3 does not have such option.

I only have this weird issue if the phone have no signal such as in lift or underground carpark the phone will prompt that SIMM has has been removed please reboot the phone.

Anyone have this issue?

You need to choose swipe for your lockscreen for the widget to work.

Swipe means no passcode or pattern or password n to some people it is a no no in security sense.

Some companies set their exchange server to enforce you to have passcode or password. So lockscreen widgets cannot be used in such cases.

strange mine is a set generic bought from RWM , i got the update imediately i got it last week , however i would suggest ppl who update to KK do a factory reset after that .. I had issues allthgouh there were no errors in updates everything went fine after a day I had below isuse


1, no matter what button i press of set screen time out to 15 sec screen wont sleep

2. Phone goes into deep sleep wont wake up untill u remove battery

3. even in idle the phone gets super hot

4. Huge Lags


after I did a factory reset and reinstalled Apps now it seems fine...
