Note that viewing whites at some angles can discolor the screen due to it's curved nature and the bending of light through the glass. So.. What you see might not actually be the screen's fault. Just like how at the edge of the screens you can see a dimmer blue tint on sharper angles

Hmm... What's the best course of action now? Wait out for Samsung firmware or go back shop and bang table?

Samsung's position seems to be to get people to wait for the software update, then they will "follow up further" if problem isnt fixed then. Not sure if anyone managed to get a replacement out of them.

Try turning down the red in the color balance options for now. Honestly this is exactly like the blue tint 'issue' of previous AMOLED generations.
Now that red is the more prominent color of this screen instead of the previous blue for the last few years.

Like this photo... People who favor the LCD screen says AMOLED is too red on this Note 5. People who favor the AMOLED screen will say the iPhone is too yellow.

mine has some slight of red tint but the red is especially obvious along the edges. brought the phone to Samsung service center and they tried to put the blame on the temper glass, so i rip the temper glass away to show them. then they start to give conflicting message where sometimes they say nothing is wrong and suddenly they ask me to leave the phone with them so that they can show their HQ and seek advise.

In the end I get them to verify when the "software fix" will be available and I will wait for the fix to see it it helps.

I have the same red tint; it's slight at the edge.

I set the Red level down to 2-3 notch and the display looks a whole more white.

Probably will live with it since the tint is slight and hopefully, the update will resolve it.

Went down to Samsung twice to press them on the issue. They have been trying hard to avoid acknowledging the issue and even tried to refer it as 'normal'.

Let's see if this will be a joking point when the fruit releases their new phone.
