Galaxy S8 has red tint???

Samsung is trying to "fix" this AMOLED issue for ages.. if you get my drift. LOL.

mine issue is top part too "warm" , reddish and left right edges also got red tint

AFTER the new update

now top part ok but bottom part of screen is too "cool" now

basically can see 2 type of temperature color balance on screen lolz.

Think the fix is best for those screen that has uniform red tint. Not those up red, bottom ok. You adjust top ok, bottom becomes well, less red. Still not uniform.

Still considering to get the S8+ tomorrow or not.

After the update, Is it correct that we can only change in adaptive mode only still?

note that the adjustment only affects adaptive display. the screen is still screwed when using other modes.

The edge border red tint issue yes it would apply to all including basic mode BUT not the overall reddish tint. Overall reddish tint will only work at adaptive mode unfortunately.

The issue with adaptive mode is the color is very saturated. Very poppy red. Basic mode has better saturation setting but will have red tint.

So samsung should give us saturation setting at adaptive also or allow the red tint reduction setting at basic mode.

Basically when we apply the edge Color to the most cool setting, I see a blue tint at the side....

I gave up already....in the end, I pump the red down, pump the green up and blue to middle....it's the best screen with the uniform Color I can get.....

I thought the software will be able calibrate the tone then use the screen setting as per normal

Me too. Quite disappointing update.

My Samsung S8+ in adaptive mode looks ok from direct viewing angle.
The problem is the the Infinity Red Display screen will have red tint when view different other from direct viewing angle, which this software fix can't do much. If drag all the way the screen become too blue, and there's still great change of color when view from different angle, so every time I tilt the screen will immediate notice red tint, which is quite annoying.
I tested some display set at store, some of the set (yes, S8+) don't have this problem, so it is definitely QC problem which doesn't pick up defect red screens and let it pass.
