BTO's ceiling for Singles is 7k and 14k for couples (thus 7k is the ceiling individually too).

7k in current days is not a lot, unless you are ok with living a frugal life or if not, content with not having any saving for rainy days.

At the rate which GST, Medisave, Insurance premiums and other cost of living expenses begin to rise, I dare say not even 10k is a lot.

Yep, just take a look at their CEC you will know how serious they are on party renewals.
Can forsee them having their own Pritam Singh soon, if they continue on.

Hope SDP can follow in their stead too, but they lack the financial backing of someone like LHY in 1st place.

This one is not really simple to be honest. His family changed their surname to assimilate and sound Indo in order to not get persecuted in the past. I know Indo Chinese who have the same surname as mine and changed it back to normal Chinese (Hokkien) form when they returned for NS, because that's their true identity.

Only Shawn knows why he changed his surname back.

I remember got one edmwer said that he is school mates with Shawn and the surname was a mix-up by the RSAF and ICA...and claimed the deed poll was done before enlisting.....

Disclaimer: I am a FT & I must admit LMW is a gem politician willing to listen and voice. Rare in politics nowadays.
