Some obervations during my recent Genting trip:
- Self Check-in Kiosks at the First World Hotel are not 24/7. They are only on-line until midnight, with only a handful still working, probably for awhile longer, as part of their staggered shut down. All were off-line when I re-visited them before 6am. I am not certain whether are they on-line from 6am onwards, but they were definitely operational after 7am.
- The entrance door between the First World Hotel level 8 landing to the Old Food Factory, which some of us travel to the SkyCasino Platium and Gold Club, is only opened between 6am to 11pm.
- A substantial number of signature dishes are no longer available at the Grand Imperial Iberico House. Noticed their fish tanks only have one or two fishes too.
- SkyCasino is seemingly less congested following the re-opening of the Old Genting Casino now.
- All new slot machines are only located at the ground floor of SkyCasino. I especially enjoyed Bull Blitz, which is another variant of All Aboard.
- All machines at the newly re-opened Genting Casino are mostly old ones, less "All Aboard", from Konami. Similarly, the slot machines at the Highland Gold Club are also old, and boring!
- The salted caramel latte at SkyCasino level 3 was sinfully thick and salty.
- For non-VIP NN slot credits, which were credited to your account, they will not be reflected in your card when you play at the VIP (Platinum/Gold) area. However, they will re-appear when you take up a machine at the common areas.
- There are still people asking for makan or money inside the Skycasino. I was approached twice in two different days.
- Secret Garden Hotpot could not accomodate 6 pax. They had to split us into 2 tables, which we opted out instead.
- Park Avenue Lounge is currently under renovation. Wolfgang's Steakhouse is temporarily (hopefully) closed too.
- Sunrise was approximately at 7.05am.
- The Mee Sua (RM$11) at 强记小吃, up from the escalator beside One Meter Teh at FWH T2, was surprisingly nice!
- Only two stalls were opened when we visited Eat@B5 around 4pm+.
- No durian stall was available at the usual place outside Genting Grand car park. There was a stall beside Feng Ji when we were at Gotong Jaya.
Cheers
