tourists will have to compete for the 250 slots with the business travelers and people wanting to visit family.

leisure trips are still not allowed....its probably for people that have urgent business in japan...

Flights resumed for JAL, including from Jakarta! Yes, to them it seems Indonesia is safer than SG!

https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/info/2020/inter/200610_04/

My friend claims that his flight on JAL from the US to Tokyo in July is still on.

He's cancelling his trip though.

i'm sort of 'dying' to go somewhere :s13: Got money but can't go anywhere to spend :s22:

I don't think any of the economies can tank further with no tourism.

Just checked SQ tix for oct/nov so expensive now.

How much was it when you checked? It's $783 now. Price is ok though.

After the first batch of countries are cleared i.e. vietnam, thailand, nz, the other batch will include US. Bear in mind these are business travelers only and not for leisure.

I think flights are not meant for noramal travelers but business related and returning Japan nationals. They are also limiting the number of enteries per day. about 200 i last heard I think.

Just saw the news yesterday. Tokyo has 55 new cases. so international travel might not be so soon imo. dont quote me though.
