Anyone with the 3G nexus 7 notice the antenna is not as good compared to other phones like hua wei and Samsung? My n7 keep on jumping from h to 3G all the time and giving me unstable and slow 3G speed, while my hua wei is relatively consistent.

Any experts here willing to give some good advice? Thanks in advance.

Why not just go and borrow the SH or M1 to try. I had both SH and ST...

SH is always on H but.... always lost connection.

ST not stable but I die die will connect it no matter what.

How do you know it's a hardware thing and not a software thing...?

I could also be a software problem... I'm just guessing since its imported from the USA, the antenna maybe calibrated to receive USA telco signal and not Singapore's.

I am using the 3g version with the 4g lte data plan from starhub 11gb, connection speed is pretty decent actually.

Got a feeling that the telcos actually throttle the speeds of those on the 3g cheaper plans.

Maybe you can try an alternate apn? I think for each telco there are several apns. For starhub, there's shwap, shinternet and shppd as far as I know. My note 2 auto detects shwap. My nexus 7 auto detects shppd while Internet says shinternet.

SH is known for such problems. WHY because even their 4G is facing the same S*...

There is no such thing as calibrated anteena la. All is the same la either can connect or not.

Had my n7 since dec last year, I just realized today that a portion of the lcd is bulged up and not flush with the case. I never noticed it since it was always in it's case and the sides get covered by it.

Does the warranty cover this defect? Also where's their service center? I'm lazy to search someone spoonfeed me pls =:p=:p=:p

Common problem, known as screen lift. Covered by warranty too.

I tried all 3 apns. Are 3 are always jumping from H to 3g or G even if configured it to force wcdma. Been quite a pain.
