I'm using linaro. Try that. It does over clocked to 1.6ghz. But so far on battery impact is OK on standby or normal usage. But if you play games. Haha. Like water. It packs a good performance when you need it.
The other day I was trying the CyanogenMod ROM with CyanogenMod kernel. I found a few frame rate lost while playing NFS most wanted.
But after I use linaro kernel. Holy crap its on par with my note 2.
thanks, will try it.. was using trinity kernel.. good for games, but bad for battery life.. saw it flew out of the window in no time...
but just wanna ask, if by using slimbean ROM and/or linaro kernel, will i get official updates? last time i installed custom kernel only, got an update message, but when i tried to update, it failed. had to roll back to stock and update it.
btw, i cant find linaro kernel.. or do you mean linaro ROM?
