am still sitting on the fence... can I ask some daily-usage questions about p7 pro?
- is it true cannot double tap to wake up phone? don't want to waste battery by turning on always-on-display.
- is battery charging by quick charge 3.0 at 22.5W possible? I don't need super fast charging but cannot accept if it's too slow either.
- normal usage (not a gamer) can last one full day? I tend not to charge beyond 80% to protect battery life so if morning 7am start from 80% what's the likely % left at night say 7pm?
- are there any quirks that are unique to pixels?
and how do you guys protect the easily scratched chrome surface of the camera bar? even slap on a case also won't prevent the surface from scratches (e.g. by keys or some accidental contact with metal items).
many thanks... am thinking it's time to retire my 2.5 years old oppo find x2 pro.
1. By default. Single tap to wake the phone. By default, raised the phone upwards will also turn the screen on.
2. They are following PD PPS which is inline with QC4.0. Max speed is 27w.
3. There are other methods to save or prolong the battery. Charging to 80% is one way. But pixel approach is to do extremely slow charge using the adaptive charging method. Which when you go to bed, it will slow charge till when just before you wake up, it should go 100%. IMHO, just charge as and when you think you could do so. Do small charging. Dont drain it fully. Any way battery replacement isn't expensive in Google context.
4. To charge faster, turn off the adaptive charging.
5. Battery to last a full day of normal usage is possible. But it really depends on how much is normal usage. There are other battery saving tips, such as turning off 5G.
6. Quirks, as of now 5G reception reporting wrongly. Changing screen resolution can cause your home screen app layout to totally reset to factory. Some games if you pull out the FPS counter and exit the game can cause your home screen app layout to totally reset to factory also.
7. If you wanna protect the camera bar. Use a film screen protector.
