U drink 3kg of coffee yourself?

You perfect the recipe already? Drinking latte or in black?

I don't drink much latte but trying to perfect with this lighter roast. Had been using darker roast like Arcaffè Margo and Gorgona. :o

Drinking mainly flat white/ latte, which Breville machine will suit me with a budget of 1500? Looking at beginner/semi-automatic machines and am very open to other makes too.

thanks in advance!

Bezzera, Rocket, VBM?
Cost abit more but I believe you can easily sell them off second hand in the future and recover back half the cost. That brings you back to the same $1500 budget or better but with a solid machine.

The savings from making your own coffee will cover back the rest of the cost easily:o

The Breville Barista Touch is a good semi automatic machine for beginners i think.

Pros
-Touch screen interface
-Can preset your settings in different profiles
-Milk frother is almost automatic ( can pre-set temp and froth intensity). can also auto purge after finish milk frothing. It will auto stop frothing once reach the desired temperature
- Easy cleaning with step by step instruction via the led screen
- Easy for other family members to pick up and pull their own shot so you don have to do for everyone

Cons:
-Inbuild grinder is so so only. not fantastic
- milk frother wand cannot rotate 360 degree if you want to do manual
- the tamper that comes with it is crap. need buy own tamper

I'm a Latte/Flat white person looking to get my first espresso machine. I have done some research and have narrowed down to 2 options:

1 - Breville Barista Pro

2 - Breville Bambino + Baratza Encore ESP

Option 2 is cheaper and allows me to upgrade the grinder if I want but I really like the all-in-one format of the Barista Pro and how it looks.. What do you guys think?

New releases - DF83 and Niche Duo

Single doser or hopper is down to preference, dun think one is " wrong " over the other, just your workflow. If you are the type that today you want coffee A, later lunch coffee B, tmr coffee C then single doser. I am happy with my hopper grinder.

From the DF83 Facebook group

DF83 like got some QC issues

You're a latte/flat white drinker, so good steam power is a must-have. Bambino does not fit the bill. Between the two options, Barista Pro is better

The cheaper espresso machines have lousy steaming power and you will find it very difficult to get the silky milk texture
