Anyway, has anyone actually tried using a moka pot? I am curious how it would taste.

I used Moka pot, taste richer than pour over.
Hard to get right tamp maybe I don't don't weigh out my beans.
To prevent bitter taste, pour boiling water into water basket not cold water. Leave lit open and remove from heat when extraction is at 80%.

A lot more work than pour over but a good alternative if u cannot bring your espresso machine everywhere u go.

Paper filter Cheney cleaner taste else use metal filter
Chemex more more convenient than espresso imho for making multiple cups

Still using very hot water.

Rather get a proper espresso machine or just Nespresso if you want it simple.

Or better still, a heat exchanger to better do lattes and cappuccinos. I bought the Expobar Pulser at $1399.

I forgot perk or hook coffee, the packaging is those plastic bag. Anyway, never order from both.

You can try their Ethiopian Lalo Estate with your Strega. It's not overly sour, with a nice tinge of fruity and flowery aftertaste.

You can try their Ethiopian Lalo Estate with your Strega. It's not overly sour, with a nice tinge of fruity and flowery aftertaste.

Yeah, that's what I bought and tried.
I bought a few to try.

It's still pretty sour but not as sour, not bad. Very easy to drink.

If make into cappuccino, very nice.
Latte with single shot is very light, very smooth and easy to drink, if double shot it becomes too acidic though. I like the cappuccino done with it or as espresso.

I tried at their store and on my Strega, I personally find it better at home than at the store. The flowery notes are well articulated, body a bit better, acidity is a little lesser, can really reminisce some melon notes in it.
It was a little flatter when I tried it at the store, maybe I was distracted by the xmm in front.

The aftertaste don't linger much though, i have to lick the last drop of the cup to recall the flavours.
Overall, good.

Too bad they don't sell in 1kg.

I bought a few to try.

Ethiopian beans are my least favorite but this one is very good enough for me. At first it's very sour but after second sip, it slowly disappears and you can taste the fruity notes. Not sure if it's the beans or the roasting process, but job well done indeed.

Ethiopian not my least favourite, my least favourite is Kenyan.
For Ethiopian blend, the ones I had always taste too acidic and overwhelming, some are very odd.
This one is at acceptable level and the notes are well brought out.

Ya it's one of the better ones I tried for this flowery profile of coffee. I will go try their other blends.
