The Pacamara Roadster blend came it today! sorry no pic a bit busy. The blend looks quite heavily roasted, dark brown beans but with no surface oil. It pulls well easily, smells like something from spinelli coffee, a bit herbal and chocolately. Tastewise is pretty good! one of the better darker style roasts.

Tried Roadster when Oz had their opening. We enjoyed it. Not too heavy, more on the sweeter side. You should try their house blend. Similar in taste to Roadster but roasted slightly darker.

No roast date but I put it within 1 week from their update of shipping. I think have to keep this one more carefully because of the dark roast. Yup it's on the sweeter and more caramelly side of things. I preferred this one pulled longer and faster.

Yep I'll try the house blend next or just go for their Chiangmai so. Never tried Thai so before.

Mine tasted very good. Crema still there. Personally I feel this particular blend need to brew with lower temps, dose lower and maybe pull a little faster. Otherwise the roasty flavours will overwhelm the taste profile.

Seattle Coffee Gear finally does a review on the DeLonghi ESAM3300. I've known this fella for some time and been eye-ing on it on Amazon UK. It is now replaced by the ESAM4200 which is basically the same machine.

Review is good with the main good stuff. Simple and robust. Doesn't break down easily and if you are looking for a beginner super automatic it rates very high.

Very old model and it is a workhorse. The 4200 inherits the same DNA from it. GBP236 at Amazon UK.

Opened up the bag this morning. Little to no smell coming out, not a good sign. Pulled 3 or 4 shots using different parameters. Although the crema is there, but the flavor is lacking. My shots are all tight though. Maybe I'll try what you've said and let it run faster...

Also to add, I've a 4 days old speakeasy blend by liberty. The difference in flavor is in stark contrast to the pacamara.

Pretty low cost for a super auto. If u have not tried one before I recommend going to a place that sells them and test them out with some fresh beans. Super autos don't make good espresso but decent long shots I feel.

I beg to differ, supper auto makes decent espresso not great espresso. A lot of European office use such super auto, no complains they make poor espresso. Been to work in Hungary, Germany, Belgium and Italy they bar must be a lot lower than the coffee snobs here. Lol

There are coffee snobs everywhere and yes the bar of the coffee drinking masses in Europe, America or anywhere in the world for that matter is pretty low.

I can't speak for all super autos but the Jura I have makes an espresso that can hardly compare to what a semi-pro machine can make. Grind is too coarse, flow is too fast. The resulting drink is bitter and needs sugar. Ok for cafe crema but for espresso purists, the super auto espresso is an outrage.

Recently i tune until my grinder can make a decent flow with 7-7.5 grams of kopi. Used to need 9 gms

Feel super satisfied.

Use small dose to make a nice flow is harder than use a big dose.

My speed also upgraded to 5 mins to make 2 cappuccinos inclusive of cleaning up everything(except cups)

I think it's already faster than my Nespresso cause the Aeroccino is a pain in the ass to clean.
