i had from cold storage expired vouchers, i wrote in to them and they were kind enough to extend the vouchers for me, not sure if NTUC can provide service as good as this tho...

I think heard stories Fairprice also. i mean they are a cooperative. should be more kind than cold storage. but again YMMV.

but awareness and personal responsibility still most important.

just an update. After waiting for 3 weeks (emails/calls/chat all no use), i filed a chargeback as recommended by a bro here, and my refunds finally came in.

seems to me that they are now sitting on end users chargeback instead of processing proactively upon merchant's refund

My refund came in almost immediate after raising a refund for an online purchase in June.

My purchase was deducted directly from my Grab wallet. Not through Grabpay card.

So I guess refunds processed through MasterCard Network will take longer time compare to direct through Grabpay wallet.

Grab makes it easy to lock and unlock card, best to lock if you keep substantial balances in your card. It is a debit card after all.

don't bother the with the hotline or email. all these fintech outsource their support to the lowest tier of call centers. they are only trained to cut and paste their template answer to you. file chargeback with bank.

I noticed that the $1 pre-authorization charge/binding charge is actually deducted from my Grab wallet. Is this unique to Grab only or applicable to all debit cards? I normally use credit card for setting up recurring payment and i noticed that the $1 pre authorization is not even posted onto my credit card unbilled statement and reverse almost immediately. When will Grab refund the $1?

I have the option under my Grab, though not sure if it's the same for all. Are you sure it's been removed? Have you tried linking PayNow VPA?
