Wanted to enjoy Wealth Bonus 0.6% / 1.2% interest on OCBC 360.

Say fund name is Schroeder Asia Income Fund.

Can I get 20k worth of this fund from FundSuperMart using SRS and qualify for rebates on OCBC 360?

Guys you are the only banking app which kicks you out for security reasons..buckle up it’s just too stupid to be true. Going on for too long already..

Hahaha.. that's true. I've already removed the ocbc app from my phone cos it never works. Mine is a huawei phone and I've seen so many reports of the app not working on them. Don't ask us to report. U guys know it doesn't work yet dunwan to buck up. So I move on to other banks.

Do note that the following factors on your mobile device will affect the usage of OneToken:

o Rooted/Jail Broken, development/debugging device
o Applications downloaded from other sources other than the Google Play Store
o Remote access from other device to the phone, e.g. TeamViewer. LogMeIn, VNC, etc
o Library tampering applications, e.g. FakeGPS, FakeWifi, 3g/4g Unrestrictor, etc.
o Malware detected (this can be scanned with any tools in the market, e.g. Avast, AVG, McAfee)

May we check if your mobile device is installed with or affected by any of the above?

Let me reiterate: you are the only bank with an app which KICKS YOU OUT / CLOSES ITSELF at startup for "security reasons"

My phone is more secure than its user. Just let me F use the app.

How can it be that all other banking apps work on my phone and only yours don't? I have dbs, uob, citibank and standard chartered and none gives me any problems.

Go to the data storage menu, and select the options to “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”

Go to “Permissions”, and allow permissions for “Camera”, “Contacts”, “Location”, “Microphone”, “Phone” and “Storage”

Under the “Advanced” section, allow the option for “Display over other apps”

If this does not work for you, please drop us a private message with your bank registered mobile number.

I'm not even sure why I'm here explaining things again. Look, I'm very experienced in using all kinds of electronic gadgets and these simple things that you've suggested could not escape me. And how about re-looking at your app design when all other banking apps work on my phone. I reiterate - ALL BANKING APPS WORK ON MY PHONE EXCEPT OCBC. If you insist that it's the user's problem then there's nothing I can say.

Do provide us with these details as well:

- bank registered mobile number
- phone model
- operating system and version
- mobile banking app version
- screenshot of the error message you are receiving

In the meantime, while we share your feedback with the relevant department for their investigation, we can also arrange for our service executive to call and assist with OneToken deactivation so that you are able to continue logging in via the hardware token / SMS-OTP.

Hi OCBC, just a few questions:

1. Does 365 credit card spend on government services - e.g. road tax payment - count towards the minimum $800 spend requirement for the 365 card, and the $500 spend requirement for the 360 account interest?

2. How does OCBC determine whether or not the bank account balance in the 360 account has grown from one month to the next? Does it take the average daily balance? For example, if I have $70,000 in the account, and there is a salary credit of S$2,000, and I withdraw $1,500 on the same day that the salary is credited, does this mean that my account balance for the month has grown by $500? What if the $1,500 is withdrawn one day later?

3. For new 360 accounts, how is the interest for the 1st month of opening calculated? Is the interest pro-rated based on the number of days in the month that the account has been opened for?

Government services - such as road tax will not count towards the $800 spend for the 365 card, but will be counted towards the $500 spend for the 360 account 'credit card spend' bonus.

2.
Are you referring to the Boost Bonus interest? You will be eligible as long as the current month's month average daily balance increases from the previous month's. The bonus interest is paid on the incremental increase, up to S$1 million.

3.
The base interest of 0.05% p.a. is accrued daily based on day-end balance and credited at end of the month.

The bonus Interest is calculated at the end of each calendar month based on the monthly average balance.

For example, your account is open on 26 December 2019. During account opening, you deposited $2,000, and you do not make any further transactions for the month.

Average daily balance calculation:

End day balance
1 Dec to 25 Dec = $0
26 Dec = $2,000
27 Dec = $2,000
28 Dec = $2,000
29 Dec = $2,000
30 Dec = $2,000
31 Dec = $2,000

$12,000 / 31 = $387.096

And assuming that you are eligible for the credit card spend bonus, this is what you will be able to get.

$387.096 x 0.3% / 12 = $0.096

I recently reinstalled my ocbc app as it keeps crashing. Now I have issues to log in as they require my ocbc onetoken. When I tried to retrieve it, they ask me to log in again and go to settings to activate it. I tried many attempts and manage to log in to activate it but received the message that it cannot be activated. I'm going around in circles here and need your urgent help.
I have to register a new account here to reach out to you guys and cant PM you w my mobile number as I have 0 posts.
I seek your urgent assistance to reach out to me please.

If you using android phone, try to clear phone cache and delete the app, off and then on the phone, install the app again. I had the same problem after updating the app.

If i opened a time deposit account online and changed my mind that i do not want to use it, what will happen to the account? Will it auto close? Will i be charged any fees? Thanks.

What hp are u using? Actually there's no point in posting here because they'll tell u the same thing, and even if you've followed all the instructions u're still not likely to use the app. Either u go to the bank to seek help, or u give it up. For me, it's the latter. Because the bank just won't acknowledge that their app is poorly written, and it shows how much you're being regarded.

Hi adi75,

For accounts that does not have funds in it, and does not have any transactions, it will be closed automatically in 6 months.

There will be no charges for this.

If the account does not close automatically in 6 months. You can fill in the account closure form and mail it to us / submit it at our branches.
