Dear The_Only_Yong,

If you are referring to the OCBC 360 Account, the interests should have been credited by the 9th of this month.

If you have further queries, you may wish to call our hotline at 1800 363 3333 to speak to our service executive.

Hi airtroopers,

You may visit any OCBC branch to apply for EasiCredit.

If all documents are in place and should the application be successful, you will be able to receive funds within the day itself.

Do note that all account openings are subject to the Bank’s approval.

Please refer to http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/Loans/flexible-repayment-loan-easicredit.html for more information.

Hello OCBC, I currently have a passbook/basic savings account, am I able to apply for a debit card?

Dear Guinea Pig,

If you are above 16 and own a passbook/basic savings account, you should be able to apply for a debit card.

You may apply for a debit card via these channels:

Online Form
At any OCBC ATM
At a Branch

Do note that all card applications are subject to the bank’s approval.

More information can be found here:
http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/Cards/yes-debit-card.html

Hi OCBC,

Last month, I wanted to set up a joint OCBC 360 but was not allowed to convert my personal to joint account. I am surprised such a big bank does not have this function which POSB/DBS can do it in a few minutes. Hence i have to open a Joint OCBC with my wife as the main account holder.

Today, I ask for closure of my Personal OCBC 360 as i no longer require it. I was charged a fee of $2 for closing my Personal OCBC 360 account at a branch today. I was told the fee is the fall below fee for this month which was only 9 day into the month. And last month i maintained more than $3000 in my personal account.

Question: Why do i have to pay $2 for only 9 days into the month for the fall below fee? Shouldn't the fall below fee deduction is more for last month which is September? And also in the first place, I wont be charged the fall below fee for closure of my personal account if OCBC can allow conversion of Personal to Joint account.

Thanks.

Dear pipperwarrior2,

Thank you for the feedback.

Regrettably, we are unable to provide any account conversion service at the moment.

If you had a monthly average balance of more than SGD $3000 in September, you would not have incurred a $2 fall-below fee for the month of September.

The monthly average balance of October is computed based on the 9 days of October, up till the account closure date. If the monthly average balance for the 9 days of October 2015 is less than SGD $3000, the fall below fee of SGD $2 will be incurred.

what is your advice on ocbc blue chip investment plan?

Dear saysuzu,

The Blue Chip Investment Plan (BCIP) is a platform that allows you to purchase blue chips with a chosen monthly investment amount starting from as low as $100, and is suitable for people who do not want to make a lump-sum investment.

The platform allows for buyers to purchase a smaller number of shares over a variety of share counters instead of making purchases for a standard lot size, say for only one particular counter.

As there is no lock-in period, you can give instructions to amend share counters or the investment amount, and sell your shares through OCBC Online Banking.

The BCIP comprises 19 counters, of which 18 are blue chip share counters and one is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). You will also be entitled to dividends, whenever declared by the respective company or ETF.

For more information on BCIP, please visit our website at http://ocbc.com/personal-banking/Investments/bluechip.html or check out the FAQ http://ocbc.com/personal-banking/Investments/bcip-faqs.pdf

Dear keep_rolling,

As long as the bank detects that the transaction is processed out of Singapore by the website/merchant, a currency conversion fee will be incurred. This can happen even if you paid for the purchase in SGD.

A website/merchant may have local presence, but may still process their transactions out of Singapore. You may wish to check with them directly if they process their card transactions overseas.

Is there any minimum deposit required for iocbc trading if I am over 21years old?
How long will a CDP account takes to be opened?

Hi tobiast,

Interest are accrued daily, and will be credited to your Frank account at the end of the month.

Hi nyl3v3,

Could you drop us a PM with your contact details? We will arrange for our service executive to check on your application status, and update you on it.

Hi nomoreliaola,

OCBC do not charge for any trades using SRS funds. And opening an OCBC securities account is not required.
And yes, if you open an SRS with us, your stocks will be held in custody with us.
