Hi Team OCBC,

Is it possible to use either the sms or token verification to login to iBanking?
Currently it requires me to use the token which is quite troublesome as i would leave it at home.
And I would also like to view the account balance without the use of the token and to use the token only for actions such as fund transfer, bill payment etc.
Kindly advise whether this is doable?

Hi KiraYamatoX,

In order to login to iBanking using SMS-OTP, you will have to first apply for it.

You could do so via our ATMs.

Steps:

1. Insert your OCBC ATM card.
2. Select "More Services" after entering your ATM PIN.
3. Select "More Services".
4 Select "Online Banking/Phone Banking".
5. Select "Online Banking 2FA Services".
6. Select "Apply for SMS Login".
7. Select "Singapore Number" or "Overseas Number"
8. Enter "Local Mobile Number" or "Overseas Mobile Number"
9. Message "You will now receive SMS Password to this number when you login"

Should you have any further questions, do drop us a PM.

Hi OCBC,

May I find out if I were to withdraw funds in SGD from my brokerage account to an OCBC debit card, would the funds be credited to my current account which is linked to the debit card?

Thanks.

Hi OCBC, I have a question.

I notice recently that the OCBC 360 interest is usually credited on 11th or 12th of the month. I recently had a change of job and the salary was credited after 11/12 of May for example.

Within my account, it was reflected that I hit the salary criteria, along with 3 giro transactions. However, I login a few days ago and notice that those criteria was resetted?

Does this mean i need to hit the 2 criteria only in the month of June for them to be effective?

Hi xdemolicx,

Bonus interests are calculated at the end of the month, and credited to your account on the 7th business day of the following month.

The Bonus interest transaction section on Internet Banking will be reset at the start of every month.

Hi ashethen,

You may wish to check with your brokerage account if it is possible to withdraw funds, and credit it to an OCBC account.

it's an overseas brokerage, so they can't credit it directly to my current account. they can transfer it to debit cards, so I want to know whether funds credited to debit cards will be credited to my account linked to it. Do debit card work this way generally?

i specifically calculated to spend $500+ on 31/5/2016 to enjoy the extra 0.5% interest on OCBC credit card. However, the $80 transaction only appeared as a lined item on 2/6/2016.

It is not my fault that the vendor billed late. The credit card slip clearly stated 31/5/2016, which I signed off on the cc slip.

As such, do i get the 0.5% interest? Ended up $480 on my May credit card bill and another $80 in june. This is so upsetting. Will ocbc recognise the 31/5/2016 trasnaction?

If I use my 365 card to buy zoo or bird park tickets online, does it count as online spending?

Rebate is based on the posting date, and NOT the transaction date. This applies for most credit cards too.

In your case, the 31/05 will be counted for the month of Jun instead.

Hi makeupconnect,

Rebates and minimum spend are based on posted, and not transacted date.

We encourage our customers to make big purchases earlier in the month to avoid missing the minimum spend. Some merchants may take up to 7 working days to post their transactions.

Hi highsulphur,

As long as the merchant classifies the purchase as an online transaction, it will count towards the 3% online rebate (minimum of $500 spend, otherwise a 0.3% rebate will be given).

You may wish to check with the merchants directly on how their transactions are classified.

Hi ashethen,

Funds cannot be typically transferred to a debit card, even though there is an account tagged to it. Normally, it should be credited into an account via the account number.

You may wish to check with your brokerage for alternative modes of transfer.

Hi Team OCBC,

I dialled 1800-363 3333 and went through the voice automated process to request for waiver for my Robinson credit card sometime during middle of January 2016. The automated voice says I will receive a response within 10 business days.

Till now I did not receive a response. OCBC collections department sent me a letter asking for immediate payment and threaten to deduct all the annual fees, late charges and interests through my deposit account. Honestly, WTF !!

I have never encounter such threatening move from any other banks in Singapore. First, your voice automated hotline sucks. Secondly, is only credit card annual fees unpaid and I made payment for my purchases. OCBC need to go until so extreme to deduct fees from my OCBC deposit account?

Are you so hard up for credit card annual fees?

I will go and close all my accounts with OCBC asap!!

Hi OCBC, why is it that my filled orders are sometimes much higher than my order price? Also I've been charged commission fees for the same counter multiple times within the same order. Why is this so? :(

Hi Wheihk,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

If used for in-store retail purposes, it would be considered an offline retail transaction.

Hope this clarifies.
