Wow, OCBC just called me. Informed me that my waiver request not successful (after almost 2 weeks) and then helped me with the card cancellation over the phone. Very good service :).

That's fast. Maybe next time post here faster than calling the customer service line :s13:

Think OCBC only bank in Singapore to take 7 working days to calculate and credit interest for 360 account. Very lousy, Can improve?

They cancel many many now so when next VP take over, got new applicants from chopped database to call apply same card or new card.

It's a cycle.

come to think of it.... This makes a lot of sense.... Then the new VP can claim credit in garnering new customers...

Yes, their annual fee wavier criteria is in the contract. Don't meet and forget abt the waiver.

Then I may be a lucky one, so far seldom use the card but I am still able to get the waiver from them. :)

OCBC hard to waive annual fee?

I think they may have some selection logic behind. I hardly use my OCBC credit card. May be just few times a year. However every time I call up to cancel. I am asked to keep the card.

I think also depends on when and how you sign up for the cards. I have free waiver for life but given their creative exclusions of spending, I have stopped using them altogether.

Hello OCBC representative,

Would like to ask regarding the "goal" setting.
I have ocbc 360 account.
I would like to set a specific goal. Eg: house.

Let's say I decided to go with $1k a month. The amount will be debited into "house" every month right? Will they remove the 1k from my balance in ocbc 360 account and lose the interest obtained from the ocbc 360?
Would appreciate if someone has an answer. Or could PM me too.

Been trying to call the customer service but it is horrible. Aint wasting my time trying to call.

actually if dont wanna pay annual fee just cancel the card and reapply in a 1yr time if wish to get their sign up gift or can just reapply within weeks if dont mind without any gift

Logic is make money from cardholders' spending or their own KPIs for card sales.

I just called up OCBC. Less than 2 minutes of waiting, I managed to talk to a human.

With regards to credit cards, I am left with NTUC Plus. This one is my regular card. No need to request for waiver.

This round they refused to give me a waiver on the annual fee due to certain criteria or requirement and mentioned my spending was too low. =:p

Anyway I had terminated my card via phone.

My request for annual fee waiver on my NTUC plus card was rejected, so I cancelled it (no counter-offer was made during my cancellation request).
Less 1 OCBC card, if this continues I will cancel all my OCBC credit cards ...

Aiya, overlooked my bill and now they imposed late charge, what is the percentage to get waiver for this?

Difficult to estimate, call customer service and say it's an honest mistake and hope for the best. Good luck .
