1. Is FavePay at restaurant eligible for dining cashback?
2. Can it be used as ezlink and eligible for cashback?
3. Is the categories shown in MoneySight are based on the MCC code?

Hi,

It will depend on the Merchant Category Code (MCC) coming in for those transactions. We will not be able to check on the MCCs prior to a purchase, as this is determined by the merchant and the payment association (Visa/MasterCard), and is not within OCBC's control.

Hi OCBC, I opened a Time Deposit account online yesterday. When I login ibanking, it says my TD opening is in progress. But in the mobile app, it says “Your account is open! You can see the account in Internet and Mobile Banking now. We will mail a confirmation letter with the new account number.”

May I know how soon will I be able to do TD placement? I am quite surprised and disappointed that with digitalisation now, OCBC takes some time to allow me to open an account online.

Have an issue regarding OCBC OneToken.

I'm on Android 10 with Samsung S20 Ultra 5G.

I have deleted the OCBC app, reinstalled it, cleared the cache, allowed all permissions, and called the customer hotline multiple times.

Still unable to activate the OneToken. The error message is that a "Remote Administration Tool" is detected on my brand new smartphone.

The good news is I can login to my account on both the mobile app and via Internet ibanking. However I'm unable to perform any transfer of funds, and it's starting to get annoying.

I'm hoping I can get it settled by July because my current OneToken expires 2 August. Else I'm thinking to head down to an OCBC branch to resolve this personally.

Hi there,

Do note that the following factors on your mobile device will affect the usage of OneToken:

o Rooted/Jail Broken, development/debugging device
o Applications downloaded from other sources other than the Google Play Store
o Remote access from other device to the phone, e.g. TeamViewer. LogMeIn, VNC, etc
o Library tampering applications, e.g. FakeGPS, FakeWifi, 3g/4g Unrestrictor, etc.
o Malware detected (this can be scanned with any tools in the market, e.g. Avast, AVG, McAfee)

If your mobile device has any of the above, OneToken will not be able to work.

If the above not apply, please try the following on your device:

Go to Settings > App Info > OCBC Bank and select the “Force Stop” option.

Go to the data storage menu, and select the options to “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”

Go to “Permissions”, and allow permissions for “Camera”, “Contacts”, “Location”, “Microphone”, “Phone” and “Storage”

Under the “Advanced” section, allow the option for “Display over other apps”

I am using a OCBC Plus! Visa Credit Card and a OCBC Savings account.

Please advise how I can use/link the OCBC Plus! Visa Credit Card as an ATM card for my OCBC Savings account.

You will first need to sign-up for an ibanking account, then open the Time Deposit account via ibanking before submitting a placement for it.
