I just received my ocbc credit card estatement. Am shocked to find that i have a late fee and interest charges incurred. I have not received any estatement via email for the previous month, my request to waive off a late fee and interest charge was rejected. Why am i required to pay for fees that I do not know of? I have already experienced this once before And i was already contemplating to terminate my credit card. And now I am experiencing this again? I have called the customer officer, he said i would have to use the system to request a fee waiver. I did and was rejected instantly. I didnt even know how to appeal. I know times are bad. But this is not the way to earn money thru incurring charges that we dont deserve.

Pls assist. thank you.

Wonder why remove the spend bonus, the bank is basically telling people not to spend using their cards. Please do not tell us we are still able to earn other rebates all that. I for one did not spend a single cent with my OCBC card last month because I see no point with no benefits in return.

yeah exactly....i am using other banks credit cards since they remove this spend bonus..

You are not alone. I'm also pissed off with ocbc sneaky way of doing things.
I experienced before and had terminated my cards promptly.
This is after some laborious attempt at reaching out to their cs (human) via hotline.
There is a minimum sum you need to spend per year in order for the auto waiver to be accepted. Fall short, auto waiver via hotline or ibank app will be rejected.

If I have made a late payment then by all means yes, i can pay the late fees due to my negligence but I didnt even receive the bank statement for last month. and i havent been out a lot so i can't really remember what i have spent on, perhaps several subscription online, or miscellenous stuff. i've checked both of my junkmail and inbox, no signs of july's estatement. im pretty pissed. after this episode, im definitely terminating my card.

To be fair, alot of cc companies are cutting down on snail mails and even sms alerts. Trying to caught clients unaware so can slap them with late fee charges.
I had terminated many cards this year.
As for your case, the bank might argue the email could have gone into your spam folder.
Nonetheless, you made a smart move by terminating ocbc cards.
Simply not worth the hassle. It is like you are carrying a ticking timebomb in your wallet.

Thanks XF, May I also check if I am supposed to key in the code only when I want to redeem the voucher? Or can I do it before hand

Hi there,

Could you also let us know which promotion you received the vouchers from via DM, thank you.

Hi MrRainbow,

Received updates on this. You'll be able to use the e-vouchers at CS Fresh.

For the voucher redemption, once you've unlocked the voucher with the PIN, you may present the voucher for scanning by the cashier. You may unlock the voucher before-hand at anytime, not just at point of purchase.

Hi OCB, how can I link my card to a particular account? Go online banking there isn't an option there

I moved all funds from a frank acc to a 360 acc, but my Frank card is still only linked to the Frank acc.

Hi there,

You can link your FRANK debit card to the 360 account via the following:

Steps to do so via Internet Banking (after logging on)

Place cursor over “Customer service” and select “ATM transactions – Link/delink cards”
Select the card
Check/uncheck the respective accounts to link/de-link the accounts
Check the option “Set this as the main account for withdrawals” if the account is to be used as the Fast Cash account, then click on “Next”
This option cannot be changed for debit cards, as the Fast Cash account cannot be changed

Steps to do so via Mobile Banking (after logging on)

Tap on the menu button on the top left
Tap on “More Services”
Tap on “Card Services”
Tap on “Link/delink accounts”
Select card
Check/uncheck the respective accounts to link/de-link the accounts
Check the option “Set this as the main account for withdrawals” if the account is to be used as the Fast Cash account, then click on “Confirm”
This option cannot be changed for debit cards, as the Fast Cash account cannot be changed

Hope this clarifies.

Does impaymy paying tax eligible for online spending 6% rebate for OCBc frank credit card?

Hi there,

"Online” transactions are defined as transactions made via the internet based on system indicators processed by the merchant and their banker, and are passed to OCBC Bank when the transactions are posted to the Card.
Rebates given will also be based on the MCC of the transaction. This is not within OCBC’s control, and we will only be able to advise after a transaction has been made.

If you have made the transaction and would like to check on it, do drop us a PM with your mobile number.
