Dear OCBC Team
Your promotion for BCIP "no minimum $5 charge per counter" will be ending soon by end June. Since you extended the promo, I have committed higher giro every month to buy few counters. I would like to move to OCBC BCIP fully, but I still use other competitor platform due to uncertainty if OCBC will again extend this promo or waive this charge permanently.

Again, it's ridiculous for us small investor that would like to slowly accumulate (e.g. $100 or $200) few big counters like Keppel Corp or OCBC or DBS with $5 charge per counter, which is encouraged anyway by this OCBC BCIP. I monitor every month that my cost is always higher than 0.3% due to rounding of number of shares, but that is still within tolerable limit.

Please consider extending this promotion or just waive this charge permanently. I will be more confident to be fully onboard in this BCIP.
Any response to this, OCBC Team?

Hi team OCBC,

I would like to check, for my 360 Account, it states that I need to make 3 bill payments for the 1% interest. If I use my 360 account to pay for 2 OCBC credit card bills and 1 other bank credit card bill, do I qualify for the 1% bonus interest? Thanks.

Hi team OCBC,

Also just want to confirm, is there a minimum payment for these 3 bills for it to be considered for the 1% bonus interest? Thanks.

Hi,

I could not apply for 360 account online since yesterday. Error prompted is "Sorry we are temporarily unavailable".

Any idea if the service would be up soon?

Hi there!

There isn't any minimum bill payment amount required.

And the 3 bill payments can all be made to your own OCBC credit cards. However, they'll have to be 3 unique bill payments. Meaning that the payments will have to go towards 3 different OCBC credit cards.

Hi,

May I know where to find the latest list that ocbc accept / reject as online cc txn.

Hi chopra,

We don't have such a listing I'm afraid. It really depends on how the merchant decides to code their transactions with the bank.

for the ocbc global saving account, there is no min monthly balance required. so how long before the account will be terminated if my balance is at 0?

Hi numbers,

We won't close your Global Savings account. However, if there's no movement in your accounts for more than a year, for security reasons you may not be able to access the account until you make a trip down to one of our branches.

If you bothered to look at the website and click on the exclusion which is under prepaid, you will see this...

Prepaid Accounts

EZLINK
EZ-LINK PTE LTD
EZ LINK PTE LTD (FEVO)
EZ-LINK (IMAGINE CARD)
EZ-LINK EZ-RELOAD (ATU)
PAYPAL *OANDAASIAPA
WWW.IGMARKETS.COM.SG
OANDA ASIA PACIFIC
SAXO CAP MKTS PTE LTD
SKR*SKRILL.COM

So topping up to EZ-LINK is not eligible for the 6% rebate...It is on their website...

Online retail transactions are defined as goods or services you buy via the internet and pay with your FRANK Credit Card. These transactions are excluded from the calculation of cash rebates: purchases made via telephone or mail order; bill payments (online mobile bill payment to Singtel, Starhub and M1 are eligible); recurring payments for mobile, telephone, cable, insurance, utility bills or income tax; donations; payment of funds to prepaid accounts, payments using internet banking; annual card fees; Instalment Payment Plans; Cashwise facility, Cash Advances and Balance Transfers; Goods and Services tax; fees and charges such as interest and late payment charges or any other transactions determined by OCBC from time to time.

Hi Team OCBC,

Would like to enquire if it is possible to link my OCBC 360 account to my Frank or OCBC 365 Credit Card (i.e. I can use the credit card like an ATM card by choosing the correct option at ATMs). I don't want to carry so many cards and it would be nice if I can use one card for CC payment and also to withdraw cash from my OCBC 360 account.

I went to OCBC branch and they tell me cannot (but I was served by a noob who had to go around consulting others). My wife's OCBC card is able to be linked to her OCBC Savings A/C so I am wondering if the counter staff gave me the wrong message. Or is it because OCBC 360 is a current account that's why cannot?

Please advise. Thks.

Thanks dude.
You know, their website is very inconsistent. Too many layers of sub-pages. I can't find in faq.

Frank Card Promo

Dear OCBC,

2 month ago there was a promotion that if you spend above SGD 500 on April. You will rebate of SGD 50 end of May. In the end, rebate on SGD 18. Is that a gimmick to get us to swipe our card.

I am disgusted by the way the bank doesn't honour the promises. I think I will cancel the card.

Feedback dun give false information.

Hi,

How do you change the account, from which BCIP GIROes out?

Currently, I put my Plus Saving account to syphon money out for BCIP purchase. I want BCIP to syphon money out from my new 360 account (for maintenance reasons). How do I change this?

Note: my BCIP account is also very new, not a single purchase performed yet (may be next month 22nd, it will make its first purchases).

Best regards,

Hi neolaw,

You may change your GIRO account (i.e. Settlement Account) by login into your OCBC Internet Banking (https://internet.ocbc.com/internet-banking/OnlineForm/Form?FormId=bcipamend).

Please select e. Change settlement account, choose the account type and enter the new settlement account number.

Seriously, I got rejected for NTUC Plus Credit Card for the second time (tried after like more than 6 months later).

I just don't understand. Does only DBS trust me in the whole island full of bank branches? OCBC keeps rejecting as if they'd straight go to hell if they gave me a card.

C'mon, my salary is not the best one but more than the medium income of all Singaporeans (Note: I hold EP). Last year, I paid like 1.3K for income tax (I included the IRAS assessment with my application this time). I work as a "Scientist" in an "Research Institute" wholly own by a government agency directly under the Ministry of Trade and Finance (do they just reject because of that unusual job title and industry? I put "Scientist" as job title after ticking "others" and "Research Institute" as industry. But that's so lame. I include my 3 months payslips as well as my name card with the application).

Or is it because I put a "Dr" as salutation in my application because I have a PhD (my education is "Masters degree and above" in application) and I am not an M.B.B.S?

Or is it because I hopped jobs in the past?

Just why? OCBC wants no business with me? The only thing I crossed OCBC in the past is that (a) I repaid tuition fees loan in lump-sum before they start counting interest and (b) I close their saving account once.
