Hi, OCBC

I had called OCBC & NTUC with regard to using credit card (online banking) to pay for NTUC insurance.
However, they only can tell me to call each other and i ended up without any answer.

1) I just want to know if i can use the OCBC credit card to make payment for
life insurance thru online banking? ( NTUC insurance is listed as one of its merchant)
2) if yes for Q1 .. does it count as as bill payment for ocbc 360 account?

Thanks.

Hi Froggyman!

To clarify, NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Limited is listed as one of the billing organisations on our site. So yes, you are able to make bill payments to that organisation. However, we won't be able to know if only certain policies are allowed to be paid via our internet banking. So for that, you'll need NTUC Income to confirm that for you

And if you make any bill payment from your OCBC internet banking (through your 360 account), it will be eligible for the bonus interest. That includes making the bill payment to NTUC Income

Hi OCBC,

Seriously given up on you when I tried twice to submit application for OCBC 360 account.

First submission: Submit application online (without credit card application), subsequently mailed in my telephone bill which reflect my particulars. Received a letterhead next day telling me that my application was rejected due to incomplete form submission without giving much information.

So I thought what went wrong during the process and was informed by the CSO that the letter should indicate what is exact error but obviously not written, thus he had to forward to another dept to find out more. Received another call the following week and told me that the rejection was due to I did not submit my CPF statement (WTF?). I politely told the CSO that I did not apply for credit card and the instructions on the received email notification implied that I could submit one of the 3 options for verification (which telephone bill is one of them).

So the CSO went to check again and was informed that they have received my earlier mailed telephone bill and I just need to apply online again as I do not have the luxury of time to go down to any branch to sign up. (no need for resubmission of telephone bill).

Second submission: So I went through the process again and submit online. Guess what? I was rejected again without any specific reason in the letterhead.

Thanks OCBC for wasting my few days of effort, really appreciated.

Hi akc850

That definitely sounds like a frustrating experience, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience. Could we help to check on what happened with the application, and we'll try to help you with it

Do leave us a PM with your contact details, so we can call you & obtain some of your personal particulars.

Trf shares out of BCIP

I own some shares in BCIP. Today I went down to B Batok br for details of trf and the RM told me that Ocbc can only trf to Cdp a/c and one can do it online.

When I log-in & read the FAQ, it said one can trf also to any other financial institution but must go to the branch to fill form.

So which is correct?

If I wish to trf to say SCB because currently I'm buying/selling shares thru SCB, can this trf be done? Thanks.

hi, can I tag OCBC 365 Credit Card to both the current acc (360 acc) and my personal OCBC savings acc?

I thought it would be nice to carry just one credit card that can function as the credit card + ATM card instead of having both in my wallet.

For the record, I have both 365 current acc and savings acc.

if it can be done, I'll apply the 365 credit card.

thanks.

Hi OCBC team,

I refer to this OCBC Bonus+ Savings Account
Higher-Interest Deposit Account | Bonus+ Deposit Account | OCBC

Lets say I put in 10k fresh fund and 20k from ocbc 360 into this OCBC Bonus+ Savings Account.
I do not touch it for a year.

At the end of 1 year, what is the total that I will have?
is it (30,000 * 1.18% + 30,000) or (30,000 * 2.35% + 30,000)?

tyvm for your time...

10k initial fresh fund (user zero withdrawal for whole quarter)
jan- u earn0.05+0.55%
feb- u earn 0.05+0.55%
march u earn0.05+0.55+0.55.
your interets average for whole quarter is 0.78% by doing nothing

if you top up 10k within the quarter.
march u earn 0.05+0.55+0.55+1.20%.(this is the BiG number 2.35% )

average interest for whole quarter become 1.18%.

the UP TO 2.35%cinterest is marketing gimmick make u see liao song song.

the ineterest percentange form by 4 types as below.
base interest 0.05%,apply to first to third month.
no monthly withdrawal 0.55%,apply to first to third month.
no quarter withdrawal 0.55%. apply to third month only.
top up fresh fund 10k 1.20%,apply to first to third month but only kick in at third month.

For your case it should be like that:
1st qtr $30000 * 1.18% (0.6+0.6+2.35)/3
2nd qtr to 4th qtr $30000* 0.78% (0.6+0.6+1.15)/3
