hi, ocbc, i had two questions to ask

1. is there a way that i can set my internet banking to give me the option of token login or sms login? i wanted to use the token to login and do not want the sms to be sent to me, as i am overseas.

2. if a card is being blocked, what will happen to the ATU amount left in the card?

Hi zoossh

We're sorry for the late response. Here's the answer to some of your queries

1. I'm afraid we're not able to temporarily suspend SMS tokens. We can remove the feature for you, so that you can log in with only your hardware. But should you later want to add SMS token back, you'll need to fill in a form

2. Nothing happens to the balance. If you still have the card in hand, you can get a refund at iNets Kiosks, NETS customer Service Centre or Transitlink offices. But if you've lost the card, please get in touch with NETS immediately. Call NETS Call Centre Hotline directly and report that the card is no longer with you. You should then be provided with a Nets FlashPay (NFP) Admin form to complete.

hi ocbc.

will there be any change to the $25 min commission when buying/selling shares after the board lot size is reduced?

Hi

Are you referring to buying and selling of shares in your BCIP plan? Or are you referring to OCBC shares?

Hi team OCBC - how long does it take to process a credit card annual fee waiver? I punched through the IVR last Sat for my Robinsons card but have yet to get a confirmation.

Thanks!

Hi

Have you received word regarding your waiver request? You would usually be informed by SMS

Almost Starve to Death in Thailand

Hello OCBC,

Thank you for securing my account to a great degree.

Before I leave for my honeymoon in Thailand, I called OCBC by phone and open both oversea ATM usage (withdrawal) and magnetic stripe usage. I also told them not to block card usage (to somehow put a note with my account) from Thailand as I may need the money in emergency.

Fast forward to a country where English is not very common. I chose wrong amount in ATM and cancelled twice in the roll. For the third time when I chose the right amount, the ATM started showing "Contact issuing bank"

Thank you very much OCBC. Me and my wife were almost starve to death unless DBS cards come to our rescue.

Thank you very much OCBC!

I made a request for waiver of annual fee and subsequently received an SMS to inform me that it was rejected.

When I made a call and spoke to a CSE, I was told that in order to enjoy free waiver of annual fee, there needs to be a minimum spending of $5000 annually. What is surprising was that this information is not available or made known on OCBC's website.

As a leading bank in Singapore, this is a very disappointing customer experience as I have just started to use my OCBC credit card actively. I'm not sure if this is the right signal OCBC is sending across; perhaps a change to credit card offerings by other banks is the way to go for current/potential customers.

Thoughts?

Hi,

Just want to check if online Singtel bill payment counts towards the $400 spending on FRANK cc for 360 account?

Does paying 1 OCBC cc bill counts toward 1 out of 3 transaction?

Thanks

Hi Team OCBC,

Are equities held under the equities plus account (OCBC Securities) considered one of the AUM calculations for premier banking?

If yes, considering that the charges for dividends and other corporate actions are rather not very competitive, are there any additional waivers for premier banking customers?

waiver of credit card fee is quite unique globally. Singapore is an exemption actually.

Hello,
I want to apply for a supplementary OCBC 365 card. Do you need both the principal and supplementary holder to be present for the process @ the branch?

If we were to apply through mail, we just need to attach the photocopies of 2 NRIC am I right?

Dear neolaw

We're sorry to hear about the inconvenience, especially when you were on your honeymoon.

Did you get in touch with any of our service executives to check on why your card was blocked? If not, let us know so we can get someone to assist you urgently

Dear unknownz

We're sorry to learn that your waiver request was not approved. We regret that we're no longer able to waive annual fees which are charged to credit cards

Depending on the card that you're holding, annual fees can automatically be waived off if you charge a certain amount in the year

Hi Shereen,

Thank you for your reply.

With reference to your statement I've highlighted in bold, may I ask if this information is available in OCBC's website or made known to customers?

This is the point I'm trying to bring across.

(1) Rather than telling your customer upfront that you are no longer able to do the waiver, helping them to understand the potential "obligations" they need to fulfill, by spending "X" amount, in order to be eligible for the waiver is something that OCBC should be doing instead.

(2) Since you have pointed out the waiver is automatic if customer spends "X" amount, what is the point of going through the IVR system to request for a waiver and then getting an SMS saying it is unsuccessful?

I believe the experience in getting a waiver, for customers that hold your competitors' credit card, is far more "less painful"

Hi there

We simply need the applicant's NRIC (photocopy) to process the supplementary application. The principal's not required

Our branches will not be able to process the application either. Our branch colleagues will help to forward the form to our processing units. So you can either drop off the completed form at one of our branches, or mail them in

Hi there

To receive the 360 account bonus interest, your online bill payment to Singtel will certainly go towards the S$400 spending criteria. It's a retaill charge to your OCBC credit card, so it will be eligible

And yes, paying your OCBC card bills will be counted as a bill payment. However, you'll need to do so via OCBC Internet/Mobile banking.

Good morning horlickz

Investments/ Shared held with OCBC Securities are not eligible deposits to meet the Premier Banking qualifying criteria. For reference, here are the eligible deposits:

1. Investments (Unit Trusts, Strutured Deposits etc) and Fixed Deposits
- excludes investments in Blue Chip Investment Plan (BCIP)
2. SRS cash balances and SRS investments with OCBC
