Not sure liao. With P735 and A6H having the same price, I personally will choose the former. E7H, A7G & U6H are already costing more. I'm not into Prism, iFalcon, Xiaomi, etc. coz I believe they're either offering lower visual PQ or just as lacking in support. Sharp may offer some good bargains, but I'm not familiar - you'll just have to shop around too pick out the worthy offers. Philips should offer good support, but may not be as cheap for the same features. Big 3 brands will mostly be better but more expensive, unless you don't mind trying your luck with parallel imports. If so, try Sevamall from Lazada - lots of nice models to choose from.

Anyway, for your FTA non-gaming needs, the P735 is plenty.
Hi guys, just like to check if these 65" models are value for $$ compared to E7H, thanks

  1. Hisense U8H

All good value for $$, with E7H best value, then U6H, then U8H.

IMO, U6H is the best balance between getting good-enough visuals for the least amount of $$$. Expect noticeable motion blur in fast-action scenes though, if our SG version is anything like it's US counterpart. Fine if you're not picky. I'll stay clear coz I watch lots of fast-action stuff (donghua and games) and can't stand motion blur!
E7H - pay peanuts, gets monkey.
U8H - pay through your nose, gets quite-nice visuals ... but compared to US's version of the same model, still gets monkey. 🤣

Note that most of SG Hisense models are different (& downgraded) compared their US models, so don't believe every review you see online. Different panel type, different contrast, brightness, dimming zones, features, etc.

Suggest you read through all 51 pages in this Hisense thread to see if Hisense's support is any better than TCL's. 😅

I also do notice prices in the US seems lower.

As for support, think Hisense generally sounds better but I wouldn't say they are top notch?

So I guess E7H most value for money :D

Going by specs, I'd recommend in order of preference for $1+K 65" Hisense:

1) U6H - brighter (for day time watching), local dimming, wide color gamut, but don't know if IPS or VA panel
2) A7G - VA panel, better contrast, wide color gamut, maybe only just bright enough for day time watching
3) E7H - likely IPS panel, worse constrast, non-wide color gamut, may not be bright enough for day time watching

Sorry that if this have been discussed. I realised my tv OS is vidaa . The apps available are very limited. I wanted to have apps like mewatch , starhub+ or even singtel cast. But then it doesn't have play store . Unlike my old Sony android tv where it got playstore and i could get those apps.

Anyway to work around and get those apps ?

2) A7G looks interesting

Price is lower than U6H by $200 and higher than E7H by $120.

Hooked up my L9H to my onkyo AVR using eARC for my home 5.1.2 sound system

Vidaa OS Netflix does have dolby vision and dolby atmos but disney plus from the vidaa OS does not have dolby atmos at all. Tried so many times on the setting and in the end, I hooked it up my amazon 4k fire stick and disney plus does have dolby atmos . Owners just need to take note on this .

mine is the other way around. Prime video does not have Dolby Vision but PRISM + have. Hopefully they get this sorted out

Yes, new system update was pushed out to my U8H TV a few days ago. Nothing much to shout about, primarily the addition of Apple Airplay and the fixing of one bug, intermittent audio dropouts from the optical output.

Still no Mewatch, no Viu TV, some other bugs remain. Local distributor has no idea when it will eventually be delivered as they are at mercy of China HQ.

On a separate note, For those users with U8H, what colour settings do you use? I'm finding the picture to be too blueish in general and the flesh tones are quite atrocious as compared to my previous generation LG and Samsung TV's at home.
Any U6H owners here know if there was a similar software update pushed out to support Apple Airplay? The sales rep at Courts told me there was but Hisense WhatsApp says no.

Never trust "promised" features. Only buy into already-available features. Sony's official VRR patch for the X900H took 2 years to arrive. Sales rep's "unofficial promises" are anybody's guess. Good luck! :sneaky:

You can get an Apple TV box or just get a Miracast box for cheap.

Just bought Hisense U7H 75" and was only given Warranty Certificate.

Seems the official site https://hisense.sg/warranty-policy-terms/ does not provide the registration link as well.

Just notice one bad pointer # 2:

Transportation, delivery and handling charges incurred in the transport of the product to and from Hisense or its authorized service centre will be borne by the consumer.

Hi, I’m considering the 98” U7HQ. I just need a big <$10000 display that can maximise the potential of Apple TV 4K/60. So the VIDAA and built in apps really do not matter to me.

is there any reviews for U7HQ I could refer to? Or any thoughts and feedback from owners here?
Like, is this TV ok under bring room condition? And does all the spec it claimed are true? Like VRR, 120Hz etc?

Wow ... I'm envious of your upcoming HUGE screen TV! If only I can get my CPF $$$ ..... 😅

IMO, though I have no experience with Hisense, from what I've read online, seems our U7HQ is indeed the "Q" version i.e. IPS/ADS version of the U7H (VA version in US). Strangely, our U8H isn't the US VA version, but our local IPS/ADS version, while our U8HQ is actually the US's U8H version. WHAT A MESS!! 🤣

Now, my thoughts about our IPS/ADS version. Well, fine for normal usage, but pales in comparison to US's version with VA panel. Since our 98" U7HQ only comes with IPS/ADS panel, it is what it is. If you like IPS/ADS panel, then go for it! If you're like me (die die want the deep blacks & high contrast of the VA panel), then your only BIG screen Hisense is the U7H 85" with VA panel. But if you're using it in bright room condition, the panel type doesn't really matter. I watch mostly in a dark room at night. Back to this 98-incher. I think it's fine for bright room, if the stated specs of max. full-screen brightness of 1000 nits is true (which I don't think it's true, coz with Rting's testing, it's more like Peak 1000 and Full-screen 600 ... which is still decent for bright room). Also, I'd assume VRR & 120Hz works, as they're stated on the specs. That said, Rtings tested the US version, and stated 3 main cons: "It supports 4k @ 120Hz gaming, but it can't display it properly, and the image looks a bit blurry. The Hisense U7H supports a variable refresh rate (VRR), and it's compatible with most sources that support VRR. Unfortunately, like the Hisense U8H, it doesn't work well with NVIDIA graphics cards, as there's still tearing with test patterns and games on an NVIDIA graphics card. It also has a slow response time, so there's more noticeable ghosting behind fast-moving objects.". So, be prepared that while 4K120 VRR works, it'll be a bit blurry. Not only gaming, but fast-action sports and animation/movies will result in some motion blur, due to slow pixel response times. Lastly, note that our U8H is a significant downgrade from US's U8H - different panel, less bright, less dimming zones, low contrast, etc.), so, while I don't know for sure, I won't be surprised if our U7HQ also faces similar downgrades compared to the US version. Thus, whatever you see online regarding the US's version, expect lower performance for our SG version.
Overall, I feel this 98" U7HQ is a nice TV for the normal user, with only the picky user not being satisfied with it.

Ok! So here's some info you may be keen to look through.

Local SG 75" U7H, which should be very similar to your 98-incher.

Another similar TV to your 98-incher. ENABLE SUBTITLES though.

Again, ENABLE SUBTITLES.

Another review in comparison to Sony's budget TV.

Rting's review of the US's version of the U7H with VA panel.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just realised I can buy 2 85” U7H with the budget for 1 98” U7HQ
