Hello folks,

I am back from my trip to Huahin.

An overview of my 4D3N at Huahin,
we took the coach, 4 hours journey, around $120 for 2 way and 4 pax in total.

Huahin, is kinda boring.
We took our car rental in day 2 and 3, via this agent call Peter.
Not bad, good service.

These are the places that we went and my thoughts about them:

Maruekhathaiyawan Palace Hua Hin (Palace of Love & Hope) - overkilled, didn't know that the king actually stay such place.. I guess it was his love motel during his time. can avoid.

Hua Hin Night Market - good to go, cheap stuff

Cicada Market - interest place, big area. can have your dinner there.

Hua Hin Floating Market
Sam Phan Nam Floating Market
- don't bother to go. it's artificial.. a waste of time

Hua Hin Railway Station - nice, can take a lot of pictures.

Hua Hin Hills Vineyard - long journey and expensive.
had wine and food but felt overkilled.
The wine is one of the lousiest, sour and plain.. I hate sour grapes..

Wat Huay Mongkol, the Big Buddha - magnificent, worth the go.

Santorini Park @ Cha-Am - nice place, worth the go for photo taking. free carpark, tourist pricing.

Wat Khao TaKiab - aka monkey hill, not bad. just go for sight seeing.

Pa-la-U waterfall - went but since need to pay like 300 baht per pax and charges for car. we decided that we could do better with our 1230 baht instead.

KIV
Swiss Sheep Farm @ Cha-Am
Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village
Khao Luang Cave
Camel Republic

didn't really have much time to go... as weather is a killer.. it's hot and humid..

overall, I felt huahin is 6/10..
can go if you never been before.
its nothing fantastic and more toward layback life style.
fewer tourist nowadays, I guess they felt the same.

Thanks for your trip report. Usually Hua Hin is good for 2 day/ 3 days, too long will bore you lol. Good to go with BKK if you have a week to spend.

I'm planning 4D3N stay in Hua Hin this June. Going to book the Airport bus direct to Hua Him.
Is there any bus from Hua Hin City?
Been searching but website only shows HH to BKK.

Thanks Kurtgoh.
Yup I intend to use this Bell Travel service from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Hua Hin but from the website I'm not able to book a return trip from Hua Hin to BKK city. Website shown data unavailable.

when do you intend to go?
if I not mistaken, the advance booking only allows 1 month before the departure date, hence unavailable.

I think there are few bus companies.

not that I know of..

as we could only find 1, basically its located at the left basement 1 of the airport.
near the food court.
All buses are the same type and same color, just travelling to different location.

I must say, I do have high expectation before going to huahin..
after all, its a tourist hotspot and king's retreat..

Hi people, hope you guys can help me out here, thanka in advance!!!

I'm going bkk next week and planning to go huahin 2d1n.
Taking the morning bus from Mo Chit area that bus terminal to huahin (6am bus?)
Arranged a driver to pick me and my friend to travel in huahin and cha-am for a day. We plan to take bus back to bkk the next day.

May I know where is the place for us to take a bus or minivan back? Budget wise so we didnt want to take a taxi back..

Thanks!!

hello,

the arrival and departure location is the same, if you are taking the coach back.
Better to do advance booking to ensure your seats availability.
