I had my mate 10 pro updated to 8.0.0.131 3 days ago but found that the battery drains a lot during standby time (idle for 8 hours, drains about 30%). Before the update it only drains 2 - 5%..

However after I enable flight mode then the battery usage become normal.. I tried both hard reset and factory reset but it remain the same problem.

Anyone have the same issue? or how do I downgrade the firmware? thanks.

Might be caused by apps. You might want to do factory reset

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a "best" screen protector for the Mate 10 Pro? The stock one that is pre-installed on the phone is horrible and lacks any oleophobic properties to speak of.

How about phone casings? Which ones are you guys using? Thanks in advance! :)

I'm using the 2 in 1 glass protector bought from huawei shop at sls. Not too sure what the 2 in 1 means but it doesn't have the white line issue that normal glass protector have on Mate10.

As for cover, I'm using ringke fusion. It juts out slightly around the sides of the phone so that the phone face doesn't come in contact with flat surfaces if I put it face down. Feels quite secure and solid. The back of the cover isn't a fingerprint magnet either. Very satisfied so far.

Thanks for your helpful inputs! Yours is a Mate 10 Pro and not a Mate 10 right? Will check your setup out. I think the screen not coming into contact with the surface is always a good thing, with screen protector on or not.

Mine is Mate10. Non pro.

But ringke fusion has both pro and non pro cases.

And for the screen protector, since I bought it at Huawei shop, I'm sure they have it for Pro version too.

Maybe you can try to reset location service and other settings. I just upgraded to 131 today. After the upgrade, my original setting in notification, app launch, location service, notification all got reset. Battery was draining like water.

How much was it?

Is it cover the entire screen or the cut out type similar to the original film?

Doesn't matter since both having same SoC. Amount of RAM actually not giving impact that much...4GB I would say already more than enough.

To me, I agree that the additional 2GB ram have little impact on my usage and I always close my apps whenever I don't use them.

However, the Pro version won me over mainly because of the more vibrant AMOLED screen, and the higher built in storage. I am looking at using 2x SIM cards, so I won't have spare slot for an additional microSD card.
