Doesn't matter since both having same SoC. Amount of RAM actually not giving impact that much...4GB I would say already more than enough.

maybe I'm spoilt by oneplus, gave me 6 GB in my 3T, and now I'm using the 8 GB RAM version..

placebo effect, not much diff but just feels good to have lol

Sent from OnePlus 5 using GAGT

How much was it?

Is it cover the entire screen or the cut out type similar to the original film?

I honestly can't remember how much. I was basically quite desperate because the white line of the previous glass protector was driving me crazy and I just want something to replace it. So price wasn't an issue at the point and I just agree to it the moment he says it will eliminate the white line issue.

From what I can see, there is still a faint cut out line around the screen (where the white line used to be) but no white line. And the screen protector still extends to the whole screen after the cut out line. Somehow I'm thinking it seems to be glass protector within the faint cut out area and normal film that extends to the rest of the edges. But when I touch the faint cut out line area, I don't feel any edges/ridges or whatsoever.

I'm sorry I didn't ask about it more so I wasn't able to explain further...

To me, I agree that the additional 2GB ram have little impact on my usage and I always close my apps whenever I don't use them.

However, the Pro version won me over mainly because of the more vibrant AMOLED screen, and the higher built in storage. I am looking at using 2x SIM cards, so I won't have spare slot for an additional microSD card.

Am using mate 10 until tonight. Swap the pro with my wife since she doesn't like huawei in front. Lol.
I don't like pro due to AMOLED screen since I don't want burn screen to happen to my phone.

Anyway mo choice...

Wah this sounds like new tech, a hybrid between tempered glass and film. is the screen protector fully transparent, because a lot of the so called full screen type have opaque borders at the top and sides, does yours have it?

do u always turn up the brightness to very high? if not then you shouldn't worry about burn in. i used so many amoled screen phones, none of them got burn in but then again my screen brightness is always 30% or less unless i go out into the direct sun. And there are apps that make your navbar black colour so less chance of burn in plus save battery. I haven't tested it yet but I assume it works on the M10P

I see. Thanks for the tips.
My wife Note 4 used for 2 years + also no burn in spotted so far.
Maybe I should try to search for apps that makes nav bar black color to minimize the risk of burn in at certain area..

High battery use for Google Maps on Mate 10 Pro

Hello all,

I've got a Mate 10 Pro on 8.0.0.132 (C636) firmware and I realised that when I'm using Google Maps for driving navigation, the battery drain seems to be much higher than my previous phone (S7 Edge). As you can see from the screenshot below, I used GMaps for about 1hr 20mins with high accuracy GPS and auto-brightness and the battery use was about 837mah. My battery percentage dropped about 20% during this time. I've downloaded the area I'm navigating (offline areas) but have mobile 4G data on during my usage. Does anyone else have this experience and can offer advice? I'm wondering if it's because the Kirin 970 is not optimized for Google Maps as the app is not used in China. Thanks!

Because other than the S Pen and its functionality, Mate10 triumphs over the Note series in my opinion. Someone asked if it is difficult to switch from Samsung to Huawei, and I merely highlighted the difference I felt between my old phone (note 4) and my current phone (mate10), and which part of the Samsung ecosystem that I missed that's all. Why should I be getting Note 8 if I'm generally more than satisfied with my Mate10?

I have compare Note 8 and Mate 10 . I was previously using Note 7 and changed to S7 Edge .Mate 10 like more powerful . Also Huawei is confident to give 2 years warranty for their phone .Samsung is forever 1 years .And also how often use Spen ? My wife is using Note 8 now , I play around and does not look like the screen size . Samsung also like all the phones about the same feature . I cracked my S7 Edge screen and the repair cost me almost $400 . Decided to just buy a Huawei Mate 10 at $750 .

i cracked my front screen, rear panel and camera, and the frame is dented.

sent it for repair, and they quoted me 209 for the rear panel and camera, as its outside of warranty coverage.

then the lcd and frame is covered under the first 3 months warranty.

i was preparing to get another unit, but the repair fee was very reasonable, so i sent it for repair. thou its gonna take 2 to 3 weeks, as the parts are out of stock.

now, i can only hope that the motherboard doesnt surface any problem when they are doing further diagnostic.

Just received firmware 131 thru OTA for mate 10 none pro version. Updated, so far so good.

Me too look good to me

Could you help check if you depress navigation dock long then u will get a vibrate even though the vibrate under 'more sounds' is turned off.

Want see if it's a corrupt setting or firmware

Hi,anyone using or has a good recommendation for a clear case for Mate 10 Pro? I tried the Ringke Fusion but it has the rainbow effect at the back.

Thanx heaps!

Light vibrate same like typing vibrate. Maybe turn off the typing vibrate may solve it. But, I dun really use the navigation dock button.
