18:9 ratio narrower screen of Pro is not for everyone yet.

The Mate 10's traditional 16:9 is for everyone. :)

Also, the Mate 10 front button is not a hard tickable physical button likes on the Samsung phones. It is just a sensor button. Need a soft touch only. Not hard press.:)

No hard press but is still ugly design, my personal thought

Hi,

i am unable to use the "Screen Lock" widget in Nova Launcher. It throws me an error saying "Application is not installed". But when i use it in stock launcher it works fine.

Its a very useful widget to lock the screen and yet we still can use the fingerprint to unlock. We can't use any other screen off apps from play store and unlock with fingerprint.

In the end still all covered in the case

Sent from NEXUS 6P using GAGT

Not that bad with case if the case is a transparent or semi transparent one... Still can see the color of the phone especially the back and sides. If you use solid color case, then LPPL...

Some more, the front top and bottom panels color can be seen..

I think the given semi transparent case in the box is good enough.. :)

Guess that is the difference of LCD screen vs OLED screen.

Left is Mate 10, right is Mate 10 Pro.

Same display setting.

Maximum brightness, default color temperature, vivid mode.

you can buy any USB-C to HDMI adapter hub (included free if you preorder) and it will work with any monitor.

I was referring to the unique ability to plug the phone to a portable monitor powered by USB. So you can bring this monitor anywhere, from coffee shop to the plane, and get productive using the Mate 10 desktop mode.

Think Michael Tan mentioned there's a bug in the demo set where the max brightness is lower when resolution is not the max. Maybe if you change that it might be better?

I saw a video comparing mate 10 and S8, the Mate 10 wasn't that dim versus the S8 display

There is an option to enable LTE Advanced under settings. But don't see much difference after enabling it.

Becos the lock screen widget is for their stock launcher only. On any other launchers, it will not work

Oh btw, on Nova launcher, you can set gestures for double tap to put screen to sleep for 5s before lock that respect Android implementation so fingerprint will work for that. In most cases, it works rather well
