Try these on mate 10 pro.
Settings
Apps & notifications.
Apps
WhatsApp
1) notifications. Allow all.
2) battery. Launch. Manage manually. This can also be found in battery settings launch.

Do these for all ur messaging apps or those you want to be 24x7.

I'm on Mate10 and above steps all done since 2nd day I got the phone.

This is what I did last night after tinkering through every freaking setting again.

At Apps and Notifications -> Apps -> the settings button floating at below -> Special access -> Ignore battery optimisation -> select "All Apps" at drop down list -> look for WhatsApp (and all other chat apps) -> select "allowed".

Not sure if this will work for me. I'll monitor over the weekend and report back my findings.

XZ2 camera quality still below par compared with other flagships, certainly Mate 10 / P20.

Go to gsmarena photo comparison tool.

Since their shots are controlled environment, I don't see XZ2 is behind Mate 10 at all. U11+ has even better details and noise control.

Just got the Mate 10 pro thru M1

Got it over Mate 10 mainly for the 2Gb extra RAM as I play a lot of PoGO

So far game play definitely smoother compare to my old LG V20

Less lag and less network error

Think you must have gotten it.. I had the settings too but missed seeing it last night.

P20 shd be the same delay. Think it started from p9 or mate 9. Too aggressive settings.

P20 shd be the same delay. Think it started from p9 or mate 9. Too aggressive settings.

Yesterday at work, I had one incident of msgs not sent (I typed on desktop WhatsApp but msgs couldn't be sent due to phone not connected), but just turning on the screen actually got it sent without having to go into the app. I am constantly on data, not WiFi.

Not optimal still but there seems to be an improvement (for my case). I'll continue monitor and see if there's any other settings for me to tinker with...

If you have set WhatsApp to manually launch and ignore battery optimization. It is suppose to work. Your phone is really strange..
