These are software issue and not hardware limitation.

I paid 1149 when it was 1st released in Shenzhen.
At that time Malaysia hasn't even started selling it, reason being I wanted 256GB and the 8GB ram is just a nice bonus.

And 1149 was about the same as initial selling price of Singapore 6gb/128Gb lol , expected since this is Singapore with it's heavy mark up.....

Heavy usage as in I'm always on my phone, browsing , watching tik tok, whatsapp, constant spotify

This is the 1st time ever that you get a flag ship cpu in a big screen phone, not the crap 636 in mi max 3. Well I also have a honor note 10 with Kirin 970 which isn't bad either.

Watching GOT now on this phone is simply amazing! Luv it.

Have you tried the desktop mode? Sweet feature.

I using app twin watsapp on my m20p. The notification for my 1st watsapp can be set to privacy on lockscreen while the twin watsapp notifications is always showing the whole message on lookscreen. Is there any possibility to set the notifications on the twin app to privacy so that the watsapp message is hidden on lockscreen?

Nope never tried desktop mode.
Mine is a pre-owned Malaysia set bought at $950. Plus transport, total $980. So far so good. Love it. And 6gb ram is good enough.

Not first time. Sony Xperia ultra 6.44" came with SD801 in 2013. That was the flagship then. But yeah, Huawei surpassed the size with much smaller footprint.

At least you want to switch to android. My wife is also an iPx user but she don't want to try using Huawei.
