just a quick share, read from here somebody suggested using nova launcher to swipe up to turn screen off
it'll give you 2 options, if you used device administrator finger print unlock will not work anymore
otherwise it'll just turn the screen black and wait for device time out

an alternative is to enable the floating dock from smart assistance inside the system settings
from there you can click on floating dock and choose lock
takes 2 steps to lock your device but finger print unlock still works

Even with default launcher, when you install the screen lock widget, it will screw up the finger print unlock by asking for your pin code...

Gave up and used the floating dock instead

Txs. Dropped by CompassOne outlet, all gone but e super helpful Huawei guy quickly helped me called up Waterway Pt to reserved the very last grey set. Now a happy man wf a new toy. After all pomo voucher blar blar blar... paid 128 on combo3 ... wanting to go M1 get new nano card but with a awful surprise it cost 37.5 ... walked off to next door for cutting service at juz 4bucks...

Yes but with the floating widget, it makes the phone like an Apple phone. Haha

I would prefer if I press the home button and hold the screen goes off. But couldn't find any options on tt.

Then again, my fren told me just press the power button, since it has 2yrs warranty. Make some sense though. Haha

coming from a lg phone, double tap to lock is so much easier than to press a physical button
after considering all my options, i'm using nova launcher's double tap to screen off + set actual screen off to 15s

i think this is the closest thing i can to getting double tap to screen lock for now

Installed third party messaging app, Handcent NEXT SMS as default messaging. Am able to send message thru NEXT SMS but received message always on the system message and not shown in NEXT SMS even though i had set NEXT SMS as default messaging.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Tried to charge full before I go to sleep and set ultra saving mode.
After 8hrs, i wake up only drop 1%.

I was advised by the support team that we should avoid using 3rd party charger cable and power bank. Because the charging system is different.
