I am facing the same issue. Using the super charger and my phone dropped charge when in use.

How come? Is there a problem with the phone?

2. battery not increasing but decreasing during charge while using
3. phone gets hot

i hard reset, monitor the apps i downloaded. still facing same issue. dont think it's with the apps.

such a tip top phone, pity if they failed me.

oh dear.. i was about to place order for mate9 then read about the version 138 update and the battery issues.. hope more of you post and update on the phone performance after the recent update so that we can see if the issue gets rectified..

I managed to resolve this issue but don't think you all will like it. It seems like the problem comes from Facebook app. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it to monitor the problem and the conclusion is the Facebook doing something in the background. Right now my phone is charging normally and cool. You guys might want to give it a try by uninstalling the app.

Right now my phone is charging normally and cool. You guys might want to give it a try by uninstalling the app.

worst part is my software is 136 not 138 yet. LOL.
maybe i try to remove fb app and see if it's working again. i double the usb cable will fail us so quick.

trying to flash the firmware myself but can't find it. =/

Yup but Facebook is the main culprit. Just uninstall facebook will do. You might be surprised that the battery last longer than usual after removing the app. My phone just drop 1% which normal time will drop at least 4% for my usage.

Agree that Facebook Apps is the culprit.
I found 20%+ battery was used by Facebook.

It looks like this battery drain and heating issue is not limited to Huawei phone.
