I can also feel Huawei is serious about their HMS. Last time when I bought my phone I see a lot of apps can't be found, but now most of the local apps are available, except for those Facebook, Whatsapp etc. I have sideloaded GMS to download them. Looks like it's not so easy to deal with those US companies. They still need to work harder on this though.

Anyway, I have been a loyal Huawei customer since their P8 series. For those who think it's not worth to get it without GMS, you have your point and there is nothing wrong. But for me, I am still supporting them due to the quality of their products. Maybe it's just me, but their phones are just not going to die, even the battery life is still as good as new after 1-2 years. Lastly, I think they are the one who keep pushing the limits of mobile photography and force other manufacturers to up their games. Big thumbs up to them.

Now Richard Yu at least said will use GSM if allowed. As previously, they said no turning back to GSM even allow.

So which banks are supported? BOC should be one of them I reckon...DBS should be another.

I tried using DBS and OCBC credit cards on Huawei Pay and they failed to add. Looks like only UnionPay cards from ICBC Singapore are supported for now.

Ya. Looks promising but not sure the following:

- App can be install, notification works?
- Does it mean I need to repeat those steps for every firmware upgrade?
- There's a step that it disable notification for those apps that keep popping errors, communication apps (Facebook messenger, WhatsApp) can't be disable right? If not, what's the point?
- Google pay not tested
- Never show whether the device is certified @ Google Playstore

Oh no... I was hoping they'd support the Bank of China cards which I have (Sheng Siong card) 😐 ICBC union pay.. How many of us have that?

Union Pay is also not widely accepted here
